I believe it starts the 3rd Thursday of July... so next Thursday?
ETA: That's for 70%... Right now, most stores are 30 - 50...

The markdown to 70% will likely be the week of 7/23. Toys are usually marked down on wed or thurs.

I was at Levittown today...... they seem to be behind Westbury in markdowns....
The toy I got at Westbury last week was like $7 higher this week in Levittown....... But Levittown had more selection

I was in target in Medford and Riverhead yesterday and didn't see anything really discounted.

Does it generally work like, only toys at a discount now will be further discounted and nothing new?
I actually didn't see a thing I wanted at 30% so I wonder if it's even worth it to check again.

I did pretty well at Medford and Setauket last week.
Setauket had a few things cheaper than Medford.

I've been looking online a bit at blogs and things and it seems most think the 70% off will be either today or tomorrow. I'm going tonight after work and will go tomorrow at lunch also (i'm in FL but every sale so far it's been the same time as NY stores).
ETA: Anyone going today?

Copaigue isn't marking down to 70%, but Farmingdale had a decent amount of stuff. Lots of Chugginton, Cars, etc.

Bay Shore has a lot of toys 70% off as of 9 am today, but most of them are for kids 4-5 and up. Not many toys for 2 year olds.

I went to Levittown this morning. It wasn't as great as it usually is. Lots of Zoobles and Polly Pocket. Not too many boys toys. The Play Wonder "American Girl" dolls were down to $10. Not many craft sets. Some trains on sale too. Hardly any games on sale. They did have the Toy Story 3 Imaginext set for $14 from $50. Not many Legos on sale at any price.

We got at Medford at opening, got a bunch of stuff. Then went to CI and hit the jackpost on Lego sets, which never go 70% off, and aren't even on clearance at Setauket or Medford. They had the very expensive Harry Potter, Dinos, Creator, Star Wars (even the Millenium Falcon!). I got a ton of stuff, as did the girls I went with. Great shopping day!

Did anyone see wooden Thomas stuff? I've been to Copiague every week and there is nothing good and their Thomas selection is slim.

CI had some of the die cast trains regular $30 for 70% off. I saw a few of the plastic sets, but no wooden track pieces.
