Which Pack and Play did you register for?

Just doing a check of my registry and I'm doubting my pack and play choice. DH and I will be traveling with baby a lot, going to PA and LI to visit family. I registered for the

I have been debating whether or not to register for one, but if I do I will most likely go with the one you posted. The other ones with the changers/bassinets look nice. I'm sure they're nice features, but I just don't know if I can justify the extra cost for them.

Graco Modern Playard.

I registered for it thinking we could use it, like you, for travel and also when we sit outside.

We really dont have room in the house to have it set up all the time. I'm on the fence about returning it, I dont want to waste such an expensive gift but DH is encouraging me to keep it.

Which Pack and Play did you register for?

We had bought the one with all the extras for DD and never, ever used the newborn napper (DH thought it was unsturdy and he was nervous about it -- we just put her in the rock n play instead) and almost never used the diaper changing station. It was a complete waste. I wish I'd saved the $50 and gotten one without those things. The cheaper ones usually have the mobile / toy bar, too. I guess live and learn.

We don't even use the PNP now. I got a Go-Crib from Guava Family that's an air crib and we use that instead. It's amazing!!!! Super portable and so easy to put together! It doesn't have the bassinet feature, though, so the baby has to be down on the floor level. But when she was small enough for the bassinet (up to 19 lbs), she was still in the rock n play so it wasn't a big deal.

Just my BTDT perspective on it.

Re: Which Pack and Play did you register for?

I hate the pack n play. It is heavy, bulky and a pain to use. If I was going to do it again, I think I would get a Baby Bjorn travel crib, or the air crib that pp mentioned.

We registered for one like yours with no bells / whistles and we'll probably keep it at my parents' house for visits since we're in an apt.

Same here. We keep it in our den and use the napper, and on occasion the changer on the other side.

Us too! Is this brown or gray? In some pictures it looks brown in others gray and we never saw it in person.

Graco Sleepy Hollow- there were a few we liked, but ultimately chose this one b/c we liked that you can swing the changing station up w/ a push of a button, it doesn't need to be removed all together. We didn't feel like we needed the napping station since we would use the swing or bouncer for that if necessary.

We got the Chicco playyard

occasionally DS slept in it for naps, but he was more interested in the swing. We used the mat/mobile portion of it a lot though.
We traveled quite a bit with him so it was great to have as a portable crib/changing area at my mom's house.
Now, we use it in the yard to keep him contained when we're out there, or we use it as a crib whenever he stays over at his grandparents

We never used the newborn napper part of it either!

Which Pack and Play did you register for?

I have the pack and play like yours from graco but with all the bells and whistles (ie changing table and some vibrating thingy and soothing noises) I dont even use it. Its a waste. You just need the bassinet. Thays what im getting use of. All the extra accessories dont even fit in the travel bag which is silly.

I'm pretty sure this one. It was the cheapest one from BRU? That's the one I got. I didn't think I needed all the extras.

We had this one. (Before we lost it in the storm.) and LOVED it. We will be getting it again for DC #2. My son napped in the bassinet part pretty often.

For traveling-- I know it could be costly, but we purchased a basic pack n plays and left it at my moms. My folks live in FL so it was worth it for us to buy another one and leave it down there rather than bring it on the plane.

all the graco pack n plays are great (i have 3 different ones) and they last for years!

i would NOT suggest the tot block lg sq pack n play because it is large to travel with and there is only one site you can order sheets from. we have this one too (yes that is pack n play number 4 for us!) and my mom keeps it at her house and never closes it
