when is the age at which lo can start taking a dip in the swimmingpool?
i swam a lot prior to delivery on a daily basis as my exercise routine and can't wait to get back into the pool  does any momma know at what age their lo can start taking a dip in the pool too (with safety equipment of course!)? TIA!

My dad took my DD in the pool at around 6 weeks old- but mind you- he just kind of held her in his arms as he walked around and just dipped her feet in a bit.
We didn't fully submerge her until the next summer when she was a year old.
But I am sure they can go in sooner than that- our timing was just off as she was born in late June

i thought anytime after 6 weeks? i know they have classes for babies, so i don't see a reason why you couldn't bring him in with you anytime
i can't wait to bring DS to a pool!

DS was in a pool for the first time at 8 months for swimming lessons.

I wouldn't take them in a public pool until 6 months just because they are germ factories. Especially Saf-T-Swim where the pool is 92 degrees.

Ita. We do many activities but quit swimming bc DS was constantly getting sick. At first I thought it was a coincidence but it wasn't.

As soon as you want. They have baby swimming classes and you can do that after like 6 weeks I think. My dd takes swimming classes and LOVES it and she's 6 months.

Hmm didn't even think of this. My dd just got her first cold for the first time and it was right after we started Saf-T Swim. She really loves it though. I'll keep an eye on it and if it keeps happening, will just take her in our pool this summer.
