Most of our trips are Disney, so I have some things like ponchos, etc that just stay in the suitcase, and sometimes I'll start pulling some clothes I know I'll want on vacation and putting them aside so i don't wear them and have to wash them again but generally I am packing at 4am day of the trip

I'll make a list as early as a month before so I dont forget things as they pop in my head but I wont pack until a few days before when I do laundry, the clothes go right in the suitcase.

I will go to the store and buy what I need (travel size items, or whatever it might be that I need for the trip, water shoes, new suit or whatever it is). I put them aside - but I don't actually put the items into the suitcase until the day before. If I pack much earlier then everything is just horribly wrinkled. Often though we are running around doing last minute things up until the time we walk out the door. Often that is because DH waits until like 10pm the night before to actually pack and then forgets a bunch of things that I have to remind him of as we are ready to leave.

A day before....some time less...Like the night before if it's an early morning flight. I always get stressed out while packing for some reason. Afraid I'll forget something important. I should be more concerned about over packing though

This is one thing I'm usually good about, mostly because I'm excited to travel. I usually start gathering my things the week before, washing whatever clothes I want to bring with me, buying any extras I needed. I pack everything up the night before though.

I make a list of what I need/want to bring, then start gathering stuff together about 3-4 weeks before, especially toiletries. This gives me time to shop for what I need. The list also keeps me from overpacking.
DH is no help - I have to pack his stuff too. I don't mind because this way he does not get in my way. His only responsibility is getting dinner that evening.
The actual packing I do the day before.
I'm getting ready - 20 days until we cruise for 9 nights !

It’s somewhere between 1-2 days before leaving. Also depends on size of trip. If it’s a small trip just 1 day before, if big vacations say for a week or more, I start packing 2-3 before leaving.

I will gather stuff for the trip together as I either purchase or locate it in my house, and put it in one location about a week before the trip, but the actual packing does not occur until the night before the trip.

I start putting things in my bag about a week before & do it little by little & try to be done 100% the night before.... but often I think of things I want to throw in there in the hours just before I leave.

I am such a planner...I start shopping ( my favorite part of traveling!) a couple months before but then start putting everything in the suitcase the weekend before I'm leaving. Then I try to pare down stuff over the week so I don't overpack. But I always do.

If I have an early morning flight, then the night before. If the flight is in the evening, I pack a few hours before.
I'm still packing when DH is calling the taxi.
