Did you wait until after the NT scan....
Or any other tests before you told extended family and friends? How far along were you when you told everyone?

My immediate family and close friends found out about 1 minute after I POAS, and if I saw someone in person I told them (or they saw), but I just announced it to my extended family and fb at 14w, after we got the results from the NT scan.

We opted not to do the NT scan, we told our family and close friends a few days after the POAS, announced it on facebook at 12 weeks.

We just had our NT scan so we're finally telling everyone. We hadn't told anyone and it was really hard keeping it a secret!

Close family knew as soon as I POAS close friends found out a couple days after that and then DH announced it on facebook at like 6 weeks...way earlier than i would have liked. I waited until 13 weeks to announce it on my facebook page.

10 weeks for family- it was christmas.. and facebook just found out at 22 weeks. work was 12+ weeks.

For my very close friends I told them at 9 weeks my sister, i told as soon as I poas. But for coworkers and not so close friends waited until after the nt scan and the 16 week blood work. I just felt more comfortable waiting.

Some friends know, my parents know, DHs parents will find out next week after the 8 week sono, but everyone else will wait till after NT scan (12/13 weeks). FB maybe 14-16 weeks.

Once we got our NT scan results, DH told the Facebook world....but our close family and friends knew a few weeks before that.

I had the 12 week sono and all looked good so we are telling people. I had the Quad screen done though and it is more accurate but isn't complete until 16 weeks and we cannot wait that long!

some of my immediate family knew right away, we told DH's parents and siblings at 8 weeks, and aunts, uncles, cousins at 10.5 weeks.. I did a FB announcement after my NT scan at 12.5 weeks

I had to tell my boss right away because I have a physical job and some of what I do can be very grueling.
I will be telling my dad/stepmom sometime this week. I want to tell them in person. I am about 6 weeks

Told my parents immediately, my siblings at 6 weeks, MIL and close friends after first sono. Will tell extended family, friends and work after ultrascreen.

We told close friends and family earlier. We told a bunch of people after the NT scan but we told everyone not to say anything until I hit my 2nd trimester.

Extended family knew after the first sono. I told my boss just before my NT scan. After the NT scan we were out to everyone.

Told immediate family at 7 & 8 weeks (one weekend was his family, the next was mine, it just worked out when we could get everyone together). I told my boss at work immediately since I had a few doctor's appointments and I wanted her to know in case things went badly and I needed to take time off (she's totally supportive since she's been TTC for 2 years!). I'm telling the rest of my co-workers after the NT scan at 12 weeks....and the FB world probably around the same time. Only a week and a half to go!! Can't wait!!
