A few questions about jogging strollers?
I'm looking into getting one for DD (7.5 months old) so that I can get out and run with her once the weather warms up more. I have a few questions:
1. What is the best jogging stroller out there? And are there specific features I should be looking for?
2. How old should DD be before riding in it and does she need to wear anything special for extra safety?
3. Are there any coupons from BBB or BRU that I should hold out for before buying?

BOB makes a fantastic jogger but there are many out there. check out joggermom.com and the site owner is wonderful at answering questions. IMO, you should get one with a wheel that you have the option to lock but not a fixed wheel. Go for big air tires, a large sun shade, and good shocks.

i am cheap and got a baby trend off craigslist.
i had also bought a schwinn.
both fixed wheels...both did the job.

ITA. I love running with my BOB. I like that the wheel can be fixed if you want, but it can also be a swivel wheel, which is much easier for walking. As long as the baby is 6 months old, you can run with it. I got mine at REI. They run sales from time to time there. We also have some type of membership there, which really helped. When I was having an issue with the front wheel, I brought it back to REI and they gave me a brand new stroller.

1. I also have the BOB Revolution. I like that the front wheel isn't fixed...I usually use it around my neighborhood, and go around a lot of corners.
2. DD has been going in it since she was 3.5 months (she was in the infant carrier at first).
3. I think it may depend on the brand. BRU doesn't see BOB...BBB does, but you can't use their coupons on it.

I have a BoB revolution and have been using it to jog since DS was 4 months because he weighed 19 lbs at the time and could hold his head up well. The ped said it was okay to try on smooth roads as long as his head wasn't bobbing around.

I love my BOB. it is even great to bring to the beach!
DD was a peanut, I didn't put her in it to jog until 8 months or so

Love my BOB!! I really want to get a double one once DS #2 is born. It is a little heavy getting in and out of car, but really not so bad. Especially since it folds up and out so easy. Can't say enough about it.
Can't use coupons on it though.
