We lost our little Miracle
long story short our joy was short lived .. we found out on December 19, 2011 that we were expecting after trying for 8 years but on January 19, 2012 we found out we lost our little miracle ..
Our hearts are broken and im trying to put on a smile as my sister is 8 1/2 months pregnant and i want her to enjoy her moment of being pregnant ..
what made it worse is that we found out on January 19th that we lost our baby and my sisters baby shower was January 21, 2012 .. but i had to be their for my sister thou my heart was in pieces ..
the original OB office we went to the sono tech did the sono and after a few minutes just said sorry there is no more baby and turned off the machine .. we looked at her like she had 10 heads told her to turn it back on we wanted to see, we wanted answer non of which she provided us with after waiting for what seemed for ever and being moved from room to room to room the doctor finally came and was very cold hearted basically just said these things happen and here are your 3 options 1) pills to help the process 2) D&C or 3) let nature take it course but it could take weeks .. we opted with option #2 and were told we would get a call the following day friday to set up the D&C .. friday came we waited for most of the day and no call so we called and were told the surgical scheduler was out and there was no office manager in and no one else could help .. We needed to schedule it because my honey is stationed in Texas and had orders to be back on base that Sunday .. and we wanted to change his flight etc so he could be with me for the D&C .. finally a nurse calls back and was nasty on the phone with me and told me i would have to wait until February 16 for the D&C .. i flipped out on her this is such a traumatic event i didnt want to sit and wait she then started to just say "honey , honey .. really you just need to relax" .. i felt like saying you know what lady you try for 8 years to have a baby then finally get pregnant then loose your baby then tell me to fing RELAX" but instead i hung up on her, a few minutes later she called back to apologize and said she didnt know the circumstances and would call me later to schedule something..
needless to say i was very upset with this office i called another OB office that was recomoended by family they took us in that same day .. the doctor explained to us what HAD happened, what IS happening, and what WILL happen .. she took the time to not only check on my physically but check on us emotionally .. she did another sono and asked if we wanted to see .. we did .. she kept checking over and over again for a heartbeat almost as if she had hope the other OB was wrong .. she asked us what the original OB told us of when the baby stopped growing and we told her we have no idea they would not tell us anything all they said was they didnt know ..
our new OB was able to tell us the baby stopped growing a little over 5 weeks .. she just took her time with us and explained everything she spoke to us like a human, like a mother not a doctor in these big doctor terms ..
she scheduled the D&C for that coming Tuesday ... that tuesday i was calm and ok until they took me into the operating room i lost total control of the emotions i had been trying to control all day so my honey would be ok .. my doctor was amazing she came into the OR and wiped my tears and held my hand i fell asleep with the anesthisia ..
i dont know how to feel i know i should be happy that at least i was able to get pregnant but im sad beyond words, my heart just hurts and all i want to do is cry ....
i wish you all a happy and healthy 9 months and pray to be blessed again so i can join you all ..

oh man, I really felt your pain in your post and I'm soooo sorry you are going through this after trying so long  I'm so glad that you found a better, compassionate doctor who gave you some answers. No excuse for the first practice 
I hope you don't give up and I hope you are back soon with a sticky bean

I am so sorry! If u do plan on ttc again hopefully this doc will moniter u more or send you to a specialist. The pain will come and go and try your best to be gentle with yourself!

Im sitting here literally with tears streaming down my face for you and your dh Im so sorry for your loss and even more sorry for the way you were treated by that first ob's office. How utterly disgusting!!
May you and your dh find peace and I will pray for you very hard that you will be pregnant again

My grandmother had my mom after trying for ten years and multiple losses, I hope so much you get your healthy baby soon.
