What items do you buy STORE BRAND?
ive been trying to cut corners when it comes to shopping, whether its the grocery store, drug store, bru, etc... and i always see store brand stuff and wonder if its just as good. and id hate to waste the money and not be happy with it. for instance, i switched to bru diapers and couldnt be happier! ive been using cvs brand tylenol and motrin and they are working great. but i bought stop and shop ziplock bags and they were horrible!!
so does anyone have certain items that they swear are just as good as name brand??

For pretty much everything, I will buy the store brand if it's less expensive (but it's not always less expensive, sometimes the regular brands with a coupon & on sale are actually cheaper).

With the exception of mayo, ketchup, hot sauce, and a few other items, I'm also in this category of 'mostly store brand/coupons and sales for name brand'.

I buy Target brand for A LOT of things. Tissues, paper towels, food storage bags, trash bags, napkins, diapers, formula (back in the day), half n half, milk, yogurt, dish soap, etc. I also buy a lot of Market Pantry and Archer Farms food, it's delish!  Between buying Target brand and saving 5% with my Target Red Debit Card it really adds up!

My husband loves the Walmart generic cookies! I usually get the chocolate chip, oatmeal, and coconut ones.

Stop and Shop has their Nature's Promise which is pretty good for some things. CVS generics with meds and stuff. Archer farms from Target is good too.
Generics are so much better than when we were kids. Companies invest a lot of money in them and don't want to ruin their name by putting out a bad product. Some are even made in the same facilities as the brand stuff. Basically you have to figure it out by trial and error.

wipes
paper towels
body wash
dishwasher detergent
garbage bags
Pathmark brand:
pretty much everything, except personal care items and condiments. Some stuff that's REALLY good:
ziplock type bags
plastic wrap
aluminum foil
cereal
waffles
frozen veg
flour (I buy A LOT of unbleached flour and every few weeks they have it on sale for $1.99 for a 5 lb bag!!)

Ditto and I love their medicines! I've found the Up&Up to be more effective than the name brands.

Same here, except for toilet paper and paper towels. I also don't really like store brand cereals.
