Furniture issues!! Help!!

We have a nasty turn on the stairs in our house and are having a hard time finding a bedroom set that will fit up them. We ordered a beautiful set from Raymour and Flannigan that had to go back because they couldn't even get the headboard (the smallest piece) up.

Someone had suggested Bob's has furniture that can be taken apart. We bought a set there although we didn't like it as much. The salesman assured us it would fit. Well, it didn't and I had to send it back. I did keep the sleigh bed though because it is black and I think it will be easy to match. It is the only piece aside from the nightstands that would fit.

Does anyone know of any furniture place aside from ikea where the furniture is assembled on site?? I think we are going to have to go with Ikea, but I was really hoping for a nicer set Chat Icon

ETA: We would like a dresser, two nightstands and a chest.

Re: Furniture issues!! Help!!

Also, does anyone know if you have to assemble overstock items completely? Has anyone ever ordered bedroom furniture from them?

Have you ever looked into buying something from Overstock?? It gets shipped in flat boxes and you have to put it together.

I bought my entire set from them and it was really nice. Exactly as described and the reviews are super helpful.

ha! I guess i posted my above response as you were posting yours.

I bought this set and it all had to be put together. One of the pieces came scratched. Overstock customer services was great and just sent me a new part no questions asked.

My only advice is to read very carefully descriptions and dimensions.
