Barcelona and Paris Hotels
We booked airfare for May into June to go to Barcelona and Paris. Anyone have any hotel suggestions???

It was a while ago when I stayed there, but when I was in Barcelona I stayed at the Hotel Rialto. I remember it being in a pretty good location (close to several sites) and very reasonably priced.

LOVEDDDDDDDDDD Hotel Jazz in Barcelona. At the top of Las Ramblas (3 minute walk). Clean. Modern. Rooftop pool.
Definitely book there - you wont be disappointed!

I've also heard good things about Hotel Jazz. I just booked the Europark Hotel in the Exiample (sp) area. It's about 15 min away from Las Ramblas. I also contemplated Barcelona Universal Hotel. Both got good reviews on tripadvisor for being close to attractions; but in quiet areas for when you want down time.

Hotel 1898 in Barcelona!
On Las Ramblas, has both an indoor spa-type pool AND a rooftop pool/bar with views over barcelona. Great location!

We stayed at the ritz in barcelona...it's a bit off las ramblas, but we loved it. the staff was superb and we ran into the chef on the street and he took us for a little tour on his break!

i third the hotel jazz.
i stayed in a less expensive hotel next to the jazz- the H10 Universitat Hotel- was a small botique hotel- very clean and modern- excellent location - but rooms were small and can be noisy. but you cant beat the price and location.

We went to Paris in October and stayed at the Hotel Londres - St. Honore. It is not a luxury hotel by any means but the rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and the location was amazing - 5 minute walk from the Louvre and in a very upscale shopping area. And the price was unbeatable!
