Flu Shot?
Are you ladies getting a flu shot? If so, where?

My Dr recommended it, they have it in my dr's office and its the mercury free one.

The ladies at my OB asked the last 2 times I went in for appts!! I spoke to my Dr about it and he is not pressuring me to have one. I don't want to get the shot. I've never had a flu shot before and I don't know how I will react. I think I'm just going to take care of myself, be extra careful and pray I get thru the flu season.

I got mine last week at my OB office. I had no side effects.
OB recommended the shot and I didnt want to take the risk seing as people at my job show up to work with colds

I opted not to get one but I do know my Dr.s office was doing it and they were mercury free.

Yep got it 3 weeks ago. I work in the medical field so its highly recommended. Got it at Walgreens the mercury free one.

I got it a couple of weeks ago at my OB's office. I got it when I was pregnant with DS as well.
DS is on his way to get his now.

My OB ran out of it  I'm thinking of getting it next week though, it protects the baby for the first 6 months.. and we have already seen flu cases earlier this year, so its going around.

Got mine at work for free....keep in mind that the antibodies you build up get passed to the baby, so it is for their benefit as well. Not sure when you are due, but since I am having a winter baby, this was super important to me. I got the shot when I was pregnant with DD as well.

I had the flu when DD was 6 months old and not vaccinated. DH really can't take off from work easily and it was horrible taking care of an infant when I was so sick and trying to prevent her from getting it. Since I will have a newborn in a few weeks, I just got the shot at my primary care Dr. I never want to go through that again! Plus I don't want to have to worry about my newborn getting the flu.
Everyone in the house has been vaccinated.
