After 4 months trying, we took one month off, the next month we used the CBEFM and got our BFP.

DC#1 took 9 months to conceive, but I had a m/c and a chemical pg in there...
This baby took 4 months to conceive.

It took us 6 months, but my cycles are short, so it was actually our 7th try.
TTC and see what happens. If you go on vacation pregnant... well, I had sips of wine here and there. Just don't chug the bottle.

You might want to check out this THREAD from TTC with those questions answered by a lot of BTBT moms.

We got pregnant on our first month trying!
DH had to get off of a med he had been on for years in order for us to ttc. He was off of it for a month and his doc gave him the clear. We were so looking forward to months and months of "freedom" after being careful for the past 6 years. Whoops!  Worked on the first try!
I had anticipated it taking a few months. We weren't trying when we got PG with DD 6 years ago, so we don't really know how long it took. And my sister has had some problems, so I was afraid that I'd follow in her footsteps and it would take a while. Well, here we are 17 weeks pregnant and obviously one time was all it took!

BFP 3rd month off BC and 1st month using OPKs.
Tested on 10dpo with a wondfo and got a very faint positive

First time around it took almost 20 months... I was on DepoProvera (that shizzz is the devil itself knowing what it did to my system) as BC and stopped it 4 months before our wedding.
This time... 1st try - though I wasn't on anything after having DC who is 21 months now.
It's hit or miss really. If you stop BC now, there's always a really good chance you'll be preggo within a few months. So, IMHO, if you don't want to be pregnant in Spain, wait until you're in Spain to TTC. KWIM? Who knows, you may have an extra package on your way home! :)
