working moms and Halloween

are you taking off that day or working?

I am debating b/c I want to go with DD to trick o treat. I might work from home though.

Wanted to see what other working mommies are doing?

Re: working moms and Halloween

We will go after work, I figure most people will be out working that day as is so we would get a lot of empty houses.

Re: working moms and Halloween

I was thinking about leaving 1 or 2 hours early so I can get them over to the grandmother's houses then back home to do a little trick or treating.

Re: working moms and Halloween

They are having a parade/festival at daycare at 10am so I think I am taking a 1/2 day, then working 12-4 (instead of 5).

DS is too young to understand - but I want to take him around to family and with his cousins so I will be leaving early.

I will be taking a half day.

This will be DD's first Halloween (she will be 7 months) so we are not tick-or-treating for her but we are gonna go with her older cousins.

Re: working moms and Halloween

I'm taking the day off.

2.5yo DS has a parade and halloween party at preschool.
6m old DS has a Halloween baby playdate.

Then in the afternoon, we will go trick or treating. It will be a very busy day!

Re: working moms and Halloween

I am going to work from home so I can go see her in the daycare parade.
But I don't think we will trick or treat- she's a bit young still.

I took a half day and leaving at 12. DS will be napping when I get home and when he wakes I'll do lunch then go to both grandparents for some pics. He's only 2 so not sure if we are doing trick or treating yet.

Re: working moms and Halloween

I will go work, DH will take a half day so we can trick or treat together in the afternoon. I also really want to get to see DS's Halloween parade at daycare, I get paid by the session -so its probably not financially wise for me to go, but I can't stand the idea of missing it.

Same here. She is only 15 months, so I am only going to take her to a few houses.

Re: working moms and Halloween

I'm leaving early. DS is only 6 months old so we are not really going trick or treating but we are going to be bringing DS to the grandparents houses and friends houses to show him off in his costume.
