Will this ever end!!
I had my second miscarriage in August and a D&C on 8/11. At my 2 weeks post-op appointment the doctor checked to see if my uterus went back to normal and said everything looked good. She didn't do a sonogram. After taking some time to deal with everything and finally getting my period, I decided to see a RE to discuss reasons for 2 miscarriages in 6 months and see if we can have some tests done. She did a sonogram and said that there looks to be some tissue that was left over from the D&C!! It's been 7 weeks since my D&C and now I have to have another procedure(Hysteroscopy) done to get the tissue removed! I'm so frustrated and just so tired of this never ending process. Has anyone gone through this.? i'm worried that this will lower my chances of getting pregnant.

I did not go through this but unfortunately I don't think it's all that uncommon. Talk to your RE about how it could affect future pregnancies but I don't think you have to be too worried.

I did not go through this but I feel for you. I feel that doctors should double check. I never got a sonogram after my 2 week post op either. I feel that they should check to make sure everything is back to normal. I am sure that this will not lower your chances of getting pregnant again.

thanks girls. I don't understand why a sonogram after a d&c is not mandatory. I guess I should have asked for one.

i didnt have one after my D&C BUT my doctor did a hysteroscopy when the d&c was finished to make sure she got everything... the hysteroscopy is just a camera in your uterus...
i had one done yesterday also with my new dr.

I dont understand this either. I was having bad pain after my d&c and my ob didn't do a sono.
I'm sorry youre having such a hard time.
