Question for BF moms

Did anyone have a child that had an allergy to something you ate? How did you figure out there was a problem?

Re: Question for BF moms

Eczema could be a sign of a food allergy/sensitivity.

Re: Question for BF moms

DS had a sensitivity to dairy when he was little- we figured it out around 2.5 months old. He was making really awful noises from his throat and spitting up a lot.

Re: Question for BF moms

What kind of symptoms does your DC have?

DD didn't like it when I had beans - she was REALLY gassy the day after I had chili. I avoided it for a few months, but it doesn't seem to affect her now (and she loves beans, lol).

Re: Question for BF moms

Dd has a milk protein sensitivity from cows milk so I have to avoid all milk products ( and soy since the ped said it's common to be allergic to both) but she should grow out of this by 1. She wad having really mucousy stools w/specs of blood & was fussy. Once I changed my diet everything got better.

Re: Question for BF moms

DD will be 10 weeks old on Friday. Lately she has been more fussy and has been spitting up a lot. She has also been congested for weeks and when she poops its explosive. I am going to try cutting out milk products for the next few weeks to see if it helps. Any tips on what foods to watch out for aside from the obvious milk, cheese, yogurt, etc?
