Thank you gift - for using someone's house for a prty
Our house and yard is under major renovations right now, so DH brother offered for us to have the twins 1st birthday party at their house. Pretty big party (60-ish people) in their backyard. We would otherwise not be having a party for them, since our immediate family is this big.
What would be a good gift to give them as a thank you? They don't need anything, are very well off... DH said GC for dinner and we could babysit their DD. ANother idea I had was they are going to Hawaii before the party, maybe get them something in Hawaii for them to do (an acitivity or dinner?) but their trip is BEFORE the party. What do you think?

The GC is a good idea, along with the babysitting. What about an Edible Arrangement as well? Just a thought.

Its so hard, bc he always gets gifts from clients (like wine, ed arrangements, etc) and they really need/want NOTHING.
Thats why I though something for their vacation would be good. But is that weird since ins before the party?

My sil. Had my dd second birthday party in their yard. Our bathroom was being renovated and our house isn't that big. I am getting her a piece for her royal Albert china set.

I like the idea of giving them a gift. cert. towards something they could do on vacation. Maybe another idea would be to offer to watch their child a night before the trip so they could pack?
I don't think it matters that it is before the party.
Maybe see if the hotel would recommend a local photographer who could do family portraits for them. I do not know how much $ it would be, but it would be an awesome gift!

I think the gc for something to do on vacation is a great idea. Maybe surprise them with it at their hotel.

I like the idea of surprising them with something at the hotel.
We had my niece's party in our yard and my sister got DH and I GC for massages.

Even though their vacation is before the party, I do think that having something special as a surprise for them at their hotel would be really nice - especially since, as you've said, they don't really need/want anything.

yes,
If they don't already have one this would be a good idea(but I think you'd need to make sure it was ok with them, some people are weirded out by strangers cleaning their stuff).
I like the idea of massages also.

Think I will get them massages on vacation.

If they are going to the island of kaui the beachhouse is an amazing restaurant. I've given gift certificates for dinner to there several times.
