Anti-social toddler!!!
I seriously need help with DS. he is 18 months old and is so anti-social its scaring me. Its not just the normal, 10-15 mins to get accustomed to a new place its 2-3-4-5 hours of running hot and cold; clinging to myself or DH he entire time; whining and whimpering.
its not just in new places its places he goes to every day (i.e. my in laws) if there is another child around or more than 1-2 people.

I could have written this word for word about my 17 month old. We just spent a long weekend with family that we never get to see and by the 3rd day he was finally comfortable with everyone!! He threw tantrums, cried, was clingy and just no fun to be around It is so frustrating and I feel for you. The only thing I can say is that I think it's normal and hopefully they grow our of it. Either way I feel your pain.

DS went through this at around 15m, it lasted about 3 weeks and then he was back to his social self. Not sure what it was about.

this has been FOREVER. its horrible b/c we have a huge family who are very loving and affectionate and DS wants no part of it. Its very hard since we get together often!
