I would do sandals. They probably will take them off anyway so I wouldnt stress too much about it. How old are they? If they are less than a year I would even do a nice pair of socks.

We did lightweight socks and booties. He kept them on throughout the ceremony and party.

Ours is Sunday and DD is wearing socks and booties. DD#1 had a long dress so she just wore tights since you couldn't see her feet.

DD's christening was last week. She had little booties, but she kept kicking them off. So for most of the party she was barefoot--you couldn't see with her long dress anyway. Image Attachment(s):

We had little booties but we didn't wind up using them since it was hot, They went bare foot.

DS#1 was in July he was barefoot and DS#2 will be in July he will probably be barefoot as well.
