First RE Appt done!
Hey girls
Thanks for all the support before going to the RE. I met with Dr Brenner from LI IVF and I have to say I thought he was AMAZING! Very calm, answered all my questions (I had a list and he answered every one of them before I even had a chance to ask) He opened it up to DH and I to discuss and then he followed up with more info. I did not feel overwhelmed.. I think it was mostly because of how much I've learned from you all!!
Most of all, the office was SO organized and I felt like a person being treated like a person... The staff was very good too. Very compassioante.
Anyway.. we have some decisions to make. We fist have to see if we qualify for IUI because DH's count may be too low. Also, the chances of success thru IUI are not much higher than if we tried naturally. (4% naturally, 8% thru IUI) The good news is that I wouldn't have to be medicated if we did IUI b/c I O regularly.
DH goes in for a "mock prep" next week
and I guess we'll know more then. He did say that because Im young-28 our chances are very good overall.. but we have to decide if we want to continue trying naturally or move on to intervention.
So that's where we are.... I guess we'll know more over the next week.

Glad your appointment went well! This is how I felt at my first RE appointment too. I was amazed at the level of compassion and organization at the same time!
