I am almost 33 weeks, and I am starting to get really scared

I'm not scared per se - but definitely have a fair degree of anxiety when I think about it.

I was terrified when I was pg with DS but then I went into labor and I was fine. You go with the flow -- the excitement takes over at first. You'll be fine!

I completely terrified. My due date is Saturday and if I don't have her by then, I will be induced Sunday. The fear has totally consumed me!

Almost 38 weeks and I'm pretty anxious about it. I get a little more nervous and excited every minute that goes by.

I was terrified, but after our lamaze classes and lots of reading I'm feeling a bit better about it. Still a little nervous, but confident that everything's going to be fine and one way or another this baby will come out

The baby has to come out somehow!!!
There really is no use obsessing about it because it all happens so different for each person and you might surprise yourself and be totally calm.
Just enjoy this time. Once you are in labor, then you wont have time to worry anyway.

I was terrified and had imagined my delivery a million times and how bad I would hurt after. I can tell you the delivery was 100 times easier then I thought and the recovery was AWESOME! Beside a spinal headache I was moving and sitting cross legged the day after, and I made muffins the day Emmy came home. I think what helped was having an idea of the birth I wanted but not sticking to it to hard.

Parenting crasher here I felt the same as all of you last year (right before DS was born). L &D wasn't a piece of cake but it was certainly tolerable. I even managed to get thru it without an epi.
You all will do great!

second time around and I am getting nervous because I know what to expect. But really the anticipation is so bad and the experience is really not THAT bad. or at least that is what I am telling myself anyway! the baby is going to come out one way or another and I have to just go with it!

I was super nervous but kept on telling myself "It's only one day that I will be in tremendous pain." If some of you remember, I was stuck there for almost two days before I delivered. It wasn't easy, it's frustrating and you just have to push that kid out of you. The more you focus, the quicker that kid will be out of you... as long as the baby has actually come down.
They gave me this time when I was fully dilated to just sit there bear down. I told them I was ready to push after a half an hour, if I could go back I would have taken my time because it makes it easier to push.
Hours after giving birth, I said "Never again" when I left I said "I'll be back next year"

5 more days to go and I'm freaking out. At first I was freaking out just from not knowing when labor will start/what it will feel like. Then, today I watched a video on someone giving birth. Now I am freaked out about L&D!

I think the fear of the unknown is the most terrifying part. I was induced and was so nevous about not knowing what I was walking into and also not knowing if the induction would work. The birth itself was painful (not going to lie) but I would do it all again 100 times over! Good luck to all you girls! You're all going to do great!

for some reason i'm really not nervous about it. i wouldnt say im "excited", but i am kind of looking forward to it and having my own birth story. it's definitely going to be an adventure and i cant wait to see how my husband and i work together in the situation to bring our little girl into the world.

not yet, i am nervous about everything leading up to it and after it, but not so much the labor part. i know it will hurt so im prepared for that, i trust my doctors, and im kinda a go with the flow kinda person.
im am more freaked out about not having everything ready for when the baby does decide to come. that give me anxiety!
im sure tho once i have everything ready, i will start freaking out about the labor part...i guess its a process for me, start freaking about this, once i get over that, start freaking about something else! lol

I am right there with you all! 8 days until EDD and i am freakingggg out!! I've been having contractions and a lot of pressure and i already think this is painful that I am like how am i going to be when she comes out of me!!!

I was soooo nervous and scared! And yeah it hurt before i got the epi. But the nurses who were there for me were AMAZING and made everything seem so easy and helped me out so much. You'll get through it!!!
