Who wants to laugh at me? Did this ever happen to anyone?
I've been sitting on the couch for a while. I suddenly got up and BOTH of my legs were asleep. So.... I collapsed and fell onto the floor. I am crying from laughing so hard. DH didnt see but comes down and says 'what was that noise" as I am laying on the floor laughing. He asks me if i'm serious, rolls his eyes, and walks away. I can't stop laughing.

YES happened to my friend in high school and she sprained her ankle!! Not so funny then but funny now!

this reminds me of when i was 18 and went to go get my tramp stamp tattoo lol..
i had to sit in the chair backwards..leaning over..took almost a hour..when i got up both my legs were asleep and i fell right onto the floor

One day in college, we had class outside on the quad. How picturesque, right?
I was sitting criss-crossed the whole time and I went down like a sack of potatoes when I went to get up. A very cute boy came to my aid. I was absolutely mortified!
I'm surprised I didn't transfer after that

That happened with a friend of mine in college--she jumped up from sitting yoga-style in a chair in the library and sprained her ankle!! We couldn't believe our eyes!!

No, but when I was PG I had really bad sciatica, and often my left leg would go completely numb while I was sleeping. I can't tell you how many times I went to get out of bed and went CRASH on the floor!!!!

OMG, never knew this was so common! And I can;t believe how many people got hurt! Lucky for me, no injuries... except a sore stomach from too much laughing!

You jinxed me!! I read your post last night and thought that hasn't happened to me yet but I could see it happening because I get terrible leg cramps at night. Sure enough, 6 o'clock this morning my legs cramp up. I go back to sleep then I jump up to go to the bathroom and bam! I am sitting on the floor.

This happened to my sister. She was on the train with my mom & as they arrived at their stop, her legs just decided they did not want to move. My mom had to drag her off the train.
That was 2 years ago & hasn't happened to her again since.

That happened to me right after my daughter was born...but at the time it scared me half to death, because i had just had a c-section and thought that it might be a sign of something else.
luckily never happened again, and i can look back and laugh on how silly i must have looked trying to crawl to my daighters crib

At least you didn't hurt yourself!! That happened to me last year when I was newly pregnant with my DS..
I fell asleep on the couch and DH woke me up to go to bed. When I got up I took one step and then fell and twisted my ankle so bad I was limping for a week!

Glad you're OK! Not exactly the same, but I've fallen down after only one leg fell asleep and I tried to walk anyway and tripped!

It happened to me once when i was in bed - got up to go to the bathroom and totally fell on the floor when my legs didn't work!
a co-worker had it happen to her at work when she was sitting with her leg tucked under her - she got up and sprained her ankle!

It happened to me years ago, and when I fell my face hit the side of the ottoman and I passed out. When I woke up I had massive rug burn on the left side of my face I laugh now bc I wasn't hurt seriously, but when I think back, it's comical!
