NYC Teachers-GHI-Hosp costs
Hi ladies,
I was wondering if you remember the total hospital costs that you were billed for your stay and how many days were covered.
Did you have to notify your insurance for it ahead of time?
Does GHI cover it or BCBS?

IT WAS $300 deductable..I think u just give all the info the day u are admitted...but if u are taking lamaze at the hospital they give u all the paper work in advance..GL
edited to say.. our empire blue cross covered it thats our hospital GHI picks up all dr payments and such

I think there is a number on the back of your BCBS card for an NYC Healthline. Call them and tell them you are pregnant so they can pre-approve your hospital stay. You just give basic info and due date, hospital name and drs name. You'll get a confirmation in the mail that your stay has been approved.

$300 hundred, I had a c-section stay was 4 days
