RANDOM Self-Pity Vent and Good Lesson Learned: I still have curves and a waist!
Please note before you read this that I know I am out of my mind...blame it on PG hormones  .
I was pretty bummed at my doctor's appt yesterday. I met with the Physician's Assistant instead of my doctor; they office has a policy to meet with her at least once before giving birth. I thought she was really nice, but she kept saying "big girls like you" (at least 4 times) which made me really upset and I wound up telling her to stop it. She said she just meant that I'm tall and taller girls tend to have bigger frames...well then say THAT, not "big girls"  . Anyway, I went home and wanted to see if I really looked big. I know I showed a bump pic not too long ago, but I thought you ladies would find this photo shoot I did amusing.
So this is the generic side shot so that I could see how I look:
And this is the back so that I could make sure I wasn't as big as the PA made me feel:
WOOHOO, I still have curves. And yes, that butt was always a part of my body--can't blame that on the LO. Take that, PA. You should know not to call a prego "big girl" unless you want a river of tears!

Sorry, but what an a-hole. I would have been livid after the first time she said it. Good for you for telling her to not say it.
PS, you look OUTSTANDING. And you DEF have curves. I fear I look like a linebacker from the back, so I will not be recreating that picture any time soon!

I'm sorry totally crashing...I'm a lurker. You look BEAUTIFUL!!!!! you are NOT a big girl and that PA needs a crash course in proper vocal communications.....I know that prob makes no sense but I am so frustrated and I dont know how to get out what I want to say!!!!

You look amazing!!! You are not a big girl at all!!! uugghh I hate it when people say big girls!! Im only 5'7' but i have a big frame....not Petite at all!! And I hate it when they say that! Its something that has made me self conscious my whole life!! Stupid people need to watch what they are saying especially to us pregnant girls, unless of course they want to get punched in the face

You look awesome! And you should never refer to anyone a "big girl" whether they are or not... these people need to learn how to speak to patients in general

AMEN, girl!!!!  I am 5'11", so of COURSE I weigh more than my friends who are 5'2"...it only took me until I was in my 20s to be ok with that, haha. I think it was also hard because my sister--who is actually an inch taller than me--is 124! I don't remember SEEING a number like that for me, but that's just who she is. It's just annoying to hear someone that deals with pregnant people on a daily basis say something like that.

I agree, I would have punched her and then blamed the hormones.
You really do look fantastic, enough where I'm a wee bit jealous.
My mother who was 5'10", carried exactly like you with me. In fact, I remember her telling me that she used to have to stick out her belly to prove she was pregnant in pictures. BTW, she was a tough lady and would have knocked the PA in the face.
