When did you switch from the toddler bath tub to the regular tub?

DD is 16 months and still in her infant/toddler blue tub and today she stood staright up like she was ready to get out and almost fell so part of me thinks she is ready but im a germ-a-phob and am worried about her being in the tub itself? When did you switch and were you worried about 'tub germs'?

I had DD in the regular tub by 6 months. I wasn't worried about tub germs at all.

at around 4 months I got this lounge chair type thing for the tub that sits in the tub and we'd bath him in that. Around 9 - 10 months I got a cute rubber mat for the bottom of the tub and bath him in that every night. After the bath I take a lysol wipe and do a quick wipe. Weekends it gets scrubbed. DH and I don't really use the bath. It's a nice soaking tub (as you can see from my pic) and he's the only one who goes in there
sometimes we give him a shower. he's 18 months

DD1 (a pixie) was about 9 months. DD2 will go over at 7 months (she's very tall) after we renovate the bathroom.

He was out of the infant tub by 8 months and went into a little blow up tub, only for a month or so. He has been taking regular baths since 9 months old.

Not worried about germs at all

He's in the toddler tub. I just like the toddler tub, I find it easier then filling up the whole tub. Other then that, I have no other reason why he's still in there

By 10 month he was out of the big primo tub and in the regular tub.

I clean the tub before every bath. I use Dawn antibacterial dish soap. Antibacterial to kill the germs, but not too harsh to harm DS's skin.

DH thinks it might be a bit excessive to do it every time, but I don't care.

At 10 months, we started putting him in the real tub - but even then (and now still), he's in the inflatible rubber duck in the big tub.

His first real bath in a big tub was with his BFF Mason (EricaAlt's DS )

DS is 20m and still not in the regular tub. I would not feel comfortable giving DS a bath in there everyday without it being cleaned everyday.

DD has been in the regular tub since about 3 months. I just found it easier to use and I did the same with DS. Not at all worried about tub germs... but then again I have never been afraid of germs.

DS is 16 months and we're still using one of those blow up tubs in the big tub...I skeeve the big tub because it's one of the OLD ones and we are dying to get our bathroom redone...so I will keep him in there for a while. He stands up in the blow up one too

Logan is 7 months and still uses his Fisher Price Whale tub...he loves it because he can sit back and splash his legs like a maniac. But when he outgrows the whale, we'll probably just put him into the regular tub.

Still in the little tub. I have a bad back and it is just easier for me. Sometimes I will put that tub in the big tub.

I am skeeved about germs, but I figured I will just clean the tub first. She will go in the bath ring later this month in the big tub. She is 9 months. But she is a mini peanut.

We just put DD in her first 'big girl bath' (without the baby tub) yesterday! She is 12 months :)

Somehow I am still bathing colin in the infant / toddler tub in my kitchen sink at 13 + months!! He tries to stand and will pull dishes in there with him, but we still continue this b/c Ryan takes showers in our downstairs bathroom and it's just easier not to fill up the tub upstairs for Colin. At this point, I'm hoping we can continue long enough that he skips the regular tub and goes straight to the shower
He has been in the regular tub a handful of times when I have the energy to have them both in.

Ds has been in the regular tub since about 6 months. Once he was able to sit up by himself.

Around 5/6 months we switched to the inflatable tub... still in that at 16 months. I use less water and she's cushioned all around, she doesn' t mind it one bit so she'll stay in that for a while.

Ummmm maybe 6 months or sooner. I hate that small freaking baby tub. Water everywhere. And kids love playing in the bath. How does she have room to play?

We switched DD#1 from her duck tub to the regular tub around 8 months.

DD#2 we never used the toddler bath I just put shallow water in the tub once she sat confidently on her own and held on to her or even got into the tub - but we have a huge deep jetted tub - when we were in the old house I just sat on the ledge and put my hands near DD so I could catch - but never needed to.

I wasn't worried about tub germs - I clean the tub regularly and they have a bath mat that only they use.
