Lisa if you can't attend the party right now, then don't. No need to even make up an excuse just tell your friend the truth. A true friend would never want to you at a party when it could hurt you this much You need to take care of yourself right now, don't worry about a birthday party.

I spoke to her this morning and she totally understands. She is going to have all the food ready when everyone gets there, so she can bring the cake out quickly so I don't miss it (I was concerned about that)

oh hun im so sorry . i understand how you feel today i was watching a show and it was about this women giving birth and she had a baby girl and she named her emily i broke down. thats the name i want if and when we have a girl. some days are easy and some days not so easy sending tons of hugs your way.
