Anyone else feel like they're gaining all over?
The body is a crazy thing when it gets pregnant!
I always thought that because I'm hourglass shaped that when I got pregnant (at least in the beginning) I would gain in my belly only.
Well at 11 weeks (tomorrow) I feel like I'm gaining all over! And it's not like I'm eating garbage...plus I'm still exercising and active and was always pretty toned.
No joke, my jeans are getting snug on my hips and butt, and my back is getting "flubby"-which I've never had before.
At first I was getting upset over it, and then my doctor was like "your body is doing what it needs to do to carry this baby".
But geez! Does anyone else feel this way?

For the most part, I'm pretty much all belly, but I have noticed some added stuff in some other areas as well  I don't think anyone else notices, but of course we do. I keep telling myself there's nothing you can do about it now, so just embrace the change and being pregnant!

You might be having a girl! I'm hourglass shaped too and all belly at 24 weeks. I've heard that girls make you gain everywhere.

This :) It's probably a girl! I just had a boy and gained everything in my belly, girls usually make you gain all over. trust me, not necessarily a good thing to gain all in the belly because my belly is soooo stretched and flabby now :( at least if you gain all over you probably won't gain enough in any one place to give you any really flabby areas :). Also, keep in mind that a lot of it is still bloating and in another month or so you'll be able to get a better grasp on where you are really gaining once the bloating sort of subsides. By 12 weeks you could already tell I was prego because the bloating was so bad but by 16 weeks the bloat was gone and it was all real bump. GL and feel good!

YA! I am hour glass too (5'7 average weight before pregnancy) and i felt the same way....more so in the first trimester when my pre prego clothes started to get tight in the thighs and butt area. it bothered me so much that my body was changing. Now i am 27 weeks and totally use to my body changing. I dont stress it anymore. I havent worn any of my pre pregnancy clothes in months so I cant really tell if i gained any more weight in my hips or butts because i wear sun dresses every day!
Dont sweat it - just get a couple of dresses. You will get use to the fact that your old clothes dont fit. Your preggers so they shouldnt fit anymore

You make me feel so much better-I'm 5'7 and average weight too!
And yes those sundresses are a lifesaver.

ugh hard for me to tell bc I just feel awful about my body now but it's bc I'm having problems with my ankiles so I've gone from working out 5-6 times a week to not even being able to walk so I can't even blame it on  yet bc it's all about the couch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh and edited to say you're probably being too hard on yourself and look FABULOUS!!

For me, it was the exact opposite..sorry!!! With DS, I was all over. Now, with DD, I am so much smaller, and only gaining in my belly....very forward, not around.

YES! I am on pace with what I should have gained by now but my legs are HUGE and my arms look like a wrestlers.. bummed

I feel huge... and apparently I look huge too. I have had 2 people in the past week make a very RUDE comment about my weight..to my face. I have been depressed all weekend.
I only gained 10 pounds so far and I really am not heavy at all but somehow i look like i gained 90
