Need some Hugs

Hi Ladies,

I suffered a miscarriage 2 weeks ago and had a D&C, it was our first attempt.

Some days I feel great and some days I feel so sad, I cant stop crying and thinking of all the what ifs..please tell me its normal to feel all of this.

I almost feel like once we TTC again I will feel better but the pain and hurt relaly hurts some days.

Please tell me some of you felt this way and maybe still do.

Thanks!

Re: Need some Hugs

First of all i'm so sorry for your loss. Chat Icon It's really not fair.

Next, I will say that what you are feeling, and whatever you will feel is completely normal. it's really a roller coaster ride of emotions. Ups and downs...

it does get easier...I promise.

Thanks so much, I really appreciate your comments!

I know it will get easier eventually, you are right its not fair.

I just pray that once we are prego again the little once we lost will watch over this one.

Did anyone talk to someone after their loss? I am debating about it.

I'm sorry for your loss!

It is normal to go through so many different emotions after suffering through a m.c.

It takes some time to heal, but I promise you will be hopeful again and be ready to complete your journey of being a Mommy!!!

You are in the waiting game right now, for af to arrive and to start TTC again. Once you do..you will get excited to get another BFP!!

I did talk to someone after my 2nd loss. It helped me tremendously!! At my Fertility Clinic they had therapists who specialized in losses, infertility, ivf etc. I went to Cornell!

Otherwise most therapists have some experience with infertility & loss.

I would see how you feel though in a few weeks. It's still so fresh right now for you and I think in a few weeks you should feel a lot better.

Re: Need some Hugs

Thanks so much!
Yes I think waiting a few weeks to see how I feel is the best bet, it is so fresh now but I wanted to be sure that feeling like this after 2 weeks is still ok, if that makes any sense??

I realize its a loss and its a personal thing, everyone feels different about a loss.
Thanks so much!

So sorry for your loss. I think what you are feeling is perfectly normal. It took me a very long time to start feeling myself again after my first miscarriage. I had a hard time even going out-seeing babies, baby clothes, maternity stores, everything was a reminder. Like after a hard break-up: everywhere you go, you see happy couples! I just had my second miscarriage a few weeks ago and this time, the process was not as traumatic so I think I am coping better. Plus, reading other peoples experiences has helped too.

I promise that it definitely does get easier with time. Until a friend gave me an article about the process and confirmed that what i was feeling was expected, I just couldn't get out of the funk. It was my turning point and helped me tremendously. I think if I was to feel that way again, I would go talk to someone about it rather than try to wade thru it myself. Stay strong and know you are not alone.

Thanks ladies, all the comments, advice are so helpful!
It makes me feel better knowing I am not the only one going through this and I am coing to terms with the fact that it wasn't meant to be but its still hard.

I am thankful that we were abl to concieve and so quick and I know that hopefully we will be able to again.

My DH and I just had that same experience. You're not alone feeling the way you do. It is good that you let yourself go through the emotions of it all. We're all here for you!

Re: Need some Hugs

When I had a m/c, I feel the same way. I cried and cried every night and nothing and no one could tell me what to do to make me feel better.....It's very normal to feel like this...I always put it in God's hand...Just remember that it will be better as time goes on ! Chat Icon

Re: Need some Hugs

so sorry you had to experience this not once, but twice. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

the ups and downs and then more downs and deeper downs are all normal. It seems that everyone feels like this. Like a rollercoaster of emotions.

The TTC journey does help you feel a little better. But at times it makes me even feel worse again. Just becuase TTC can be so crazy and stressful and month after month of nothing happening can wear on you. But that's just me and how I'm feeling right now.

It's been about 6 months since my MC and DNC and I still have moments where I will cry and break down. Sometimes I see something or read something and it just hits me.. like a brick wall. I suppose it's something that we will always carry with us.

My heart goes out to you. I'm sorry for your loss and the heartache. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

What you are feeling is totally normal, it will take time to heal. I thought my life was over, but each day I felt a little better until I wanted to TTC again.

I wish you all the best Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
