How many weeks were you when
heard the baby's heart beat?
This is all still new to me. I think I am only 4 and a half weeks. I have a dr's appt next week to confirm.

We saw the flickering of the heartbeat at 5w5d and heard it at 6w5d.
At 4.5 weeks, you will most likely only see the yolk sac.
So exciting!!

My doctor waits until you've missed 2 periods. I was 8.5 weeks when we heard and saw the heartbeat.

didn't see it until our first appointment at 9w. didn't hear it until our NT scan at 12w.

At my appt. yesterday, about 5w4d, we were able to see the flickering heart beat...still too early to hear it.
I wasn't even expecting to see it since it was still so early and both the dr. and tech. said I would probably just see the sac, so it was a pleasant surprise.

But you don't really "hear it" you hear the noise the doppler US machine makes that corresponds to the flickering.

I went in at exactly at 6 weeks and no HB yet, But then at 7 wks and 8 wks we saw a strong HB!!
