My progesterone started below borderline...the first time I had blood work done it was 2.6. The nurse said she was surprised I hadn't gotten AF and that it "didn't look good" I am happy to say she was wrong and I am 21 weeks pregnant!

Re: Questions about borderline levels and taking progesterone.

My progesterone was "5" with my first pregnancy. I have a healthy son. It was low with this pregnancy too but not as low. I am 11 weeks now Chat Icon Chat Icon

When I was pregnant with my DD my progesterone was low. It hovered between 10 and 12. I was put on progesterone suppositories and stayed on them from weeks 5 through 12 of my pregnancy. Everything was fine and my DD was born healthy and happy.

Re: Questions about borderline levels and taking progesterone.

I was on progesterone after IVF & was cut to half the dose at about 10 weeks, and then had a very low progesterone level. They placed me on suppositories & told me not to worry as most people really start to manufacture progesterone at 11-12 weeks.

I'm now in my 2nd trimester.

I thik low progesterone levels are associated with MC, but I don't know if it's a chicken-egg type of thing.
