where can i find a price of a property in 1960 ?
does anyone know where i can find the purchase price of a home dated almost 50 years ago ? online ?

Where is the property located?
In Nassau, the property assessors site has some information. I don't know if it goes back as far as you need it too, but its a start.
In NYC, ACRIS has similar information on properties in NYC.

Acris started in 1964..nothing before that date will be available..You would have to go to the clerks office..or have someone do a search for you (title company)
