Is Anyone Up????

many of you know we co-sleep with Emma in our bed....

she has been pretty sick Friday (doc said it's a viral infection). she's been vomiting (the fountain thing she does - nothing projectile) - and i believe it's because she coughs up mucous and then chokes on it - triggering her gag reflex. she's also having horrifyingly bad poops (i'm calling them pedialyte poop - but she hasn't had a DROP of pedialyte).

last night - i vomited once. i associated it with something i ate (i RARELY ever vomit - never had one second of m/s when pregnant - never had the flu, nothing). Tonight has been horrendous - i'm vomiting BADLY - i can't even keep down water & saltines...

dave is saying i napped with her earlier, so she's likely already given me her virus and there's no harm in sleeping with her tonight.

is there? i'm having the vomit issues and unfortunately (sorry for the tmi) - the #2 issues as well. no fever, just a sore throat...and when i took emma to the doc on friday - he checked my throat and it was NOT infected.

Sadly, I am up...doing papers for school...

hmm, this is a hard one...I think I would be nervous too...afraid I would pass it back to her, or that she would wake up as many times as I did...but then again, if she had it, she might be immune to it now, so sorry Jess, but I don't know!!! hope you feel better...

i doubt you have anything to worry about. she's had this for a few days now right? probably just took its time to get into your system. hope you feel better love!

I am up too as you already know from my other post..hmmm this is hard b/c I think that maybe she is immune to it b/c she already had it but I think I would worry too that I would give it back to her. Maybe sleep 2nite w/ her and go to the dr. tomorrow to see what you have and go from there?

I don't see what harm it could cause to snuggle up with her. It might make you both feel better after all misery loves company!

Just stay away from the hubby, so he doesn't get sick. make him go sleep on the couch, after all someone needs to take care of you both.

It is very likely that she may have given you her virus but I really think that your DH should take over for the night seeming you are sick yourself you may not want to sleep with her anyway. i mean how much help can you be to her if you are a mess yourself. Maybe you should sleep seperate from them tonight and allow him to take over for a while. I hope you feel better. It is always so bad when mommys get sick because we still have to be mommies no matter what. No vacation days. LOL Feel Better!

This is too late..

But I'd probably sleep on the couch or something and not really because of giving it back to her, but simply because I'd want to try to SLEEP and not worry about waking eveyone up

thank you girls for all of the replies.

i did sleep in bed with emma and dave. when we all sleep together - we all get a minimum of 6 hours sleep - she doesn't wake up during the night typically. last night - we got 7 hours!
