Not feeling well again...

I am really not feeling right again today. I was sitting at my dining room table reading the newspaper this afternoon, and all of a sudden, I felt dizzy and sick to my stomache again. I went and laid down for a couple of hours and drank a ton of water, but it didn't help. I did try to eat something which helped my stomache a bit, but I'm still just not feeling "right". Chat Icon I don't even know what to tell the dr. if I call because I don't know what exactly doesn't feel right, I just do not feel myself.Chat Icon

You are doing the right thing by resting and drinking plenty of water.
I hope you feel better soon.

Re: Not feeling well again...

How many weeks are you? This started for me around 29 weeks and never stopped. They finally took me out of work because my BP started going up.
I never knew what to tell them because like you I just didn't feel right. I couldn't stand for more than a few minutes at a time without getting dizzy, nauseaous and all sweaty.
They told me some women just get really sick at the end. I ended up spending weeks 34-40 pretty much on the couch. I could barely function. Chat Icon
Sorry you are going through this. I really hope it passes for you. Chat Icon

Re: Not feeling well again...

I'm 32 weeks. I went to work yesterday, but ended up leaving early because I was having BH contractions sporadically throughout the day. I haven't had any today, I just feel so absolutely awfulChat Icon Nauseaous and dizzy and foggy and overall distant, like someone put a dark veil on me or something.Chat Icon

Re: Not feeling well again...

Thanks, ladies. I'm going to see how I feel through the night then call the dr. tomorrow if I still feel this way. I don't think I'm dehydrated, I've been drinking tons of fluids and haven't really done much today but lay down, so I guess we'll see.

Re: Not feeling well again...

Rest up and call the doctor in the morning... it could be just normal pregnancy woes, but it could also be high blood pressure. I had an experience like that in my third trimester where my vision started getting blurry, I felt nauseaus and I was dizzy. I really thought it was nothing but DH forced me to call the Dr. who had me come in to L&D. Apparently my blood pressure was just fine, but somehow, despite drinking gazillion bottles of water, I was dehydrated and contracting a bit.... the point being, it's always safer to call the doctor, even if all you're feeling is "off". Hope you feel better! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

No, I didn't call the dr. I'm feeling better today. If it happens again today, I will call. I have an appointment this week, so I will definitely let her know then. I'm probably not drinking as much water as I should. Infact, I know I'm not. So I'm going to up the intake today and see how I feel.

Re: Not feeling well again...

Same thing was happening to me after 34 weeks...I just didn't feel right some days and others I was OK...I couldn't explain it, but apparently my BP was slowly rising and at 37 1/2 weeks hit 150/110 and I was induced immediately for pre-e symptoms...make sure you tell your doc, this is NOT something to mess with IF it is rising BP....

Yeah, I will definitely tell her. I have a bp monitor at home, so i've been keeping a chart of my bp throughout the day. It is definitely higher than it has been my whole pregnancy (I was basically between 90/50-110/60 up till now and now I average 125/75-138/75). I'm starting to get a little nervous about itChat Icon

I would def tell your Dr. I was diagnosed with toxemia and you really want to watch the bottom number. How are your hands and ankles?

I hope you are feeling better soon and definately speak with your doctor about it. It is better to be overcautions then to miss something important!

My ankles swell terribly at work, but I think it's from sitting at the piano for chorus for hours on end. I walk around, but it doesn't help. However, when I come home and put them up or on weekends, they're fine. They look like non-prego ankles right now (which I'm secretly so thrilled aboutChat Icon It's the only thing that looks ok now!).
