theres a place in roosevelt field mall, i forget the name, but the guy from Zippity Do's (philip, who was there a LONG time ago) is amazing, and moved over to the mall...if you call and hes still there, def request him!!

I've also heard that this place does a nice cut and is cheaper than zippity doos (although zippitys is the only place we've gone to since we can walk there). I've also heard good things about the salon inside of Orly's Treehouse, but again, not from my own experience.

A few people recommended the Roosevelt field place to me. I used them back in the winter and while they were good with my DD (they put on elmo, let her sit in a car and gave her lollypops) they told me they would cut her bangs to her eyebrows (she has curly hair so they would be the right length) well they cut them about an inch shorter than that and they looked silly IMO. For months she had these very short bangs that just didn't look right:

Is it Professional Hair Design? I've seen a lot of toddlers getting their hair cuts in there while sitting in these cute little cars! It's near the Nordstrom entrance on the main level.

Awwww! I think they can't cut curly hair in general at these places. We always go to Zippity Doos on Willis Avenue. They ALWAYS cut DS's hair too short on the sides and too long right in the top center - I keep telling them that his hair is very curly so that style does not work - it just poofs up in the front in the humidity and looks ridiculous - I keep telling them cut it the same all the way around but, I guess when they are combing it wet it lays flat so they think its ok?
Just had this experience yesterday AGAIN

Actually they told me they would take her curls into account and not cut it past her eyebrows so it would curl to the correct place - but they cut it so short that it really didn't curl at all for a while...LOL.

Orly's Treehouse in Westbury has an amazing childrens hair cutting area. There are cars for the children to sit in and a tv where they can watch cute shows. She also gives them toys to play with while theyre getting their haircut. I definitely sugest trying them!!

The Hair salon in Orlys Treehouse is wonderful. My child has been getting haircuts for the past 2 years there
