Re: normal? sorry, tmi. blood?

seriously - still here. Chat Icon Not really functioning too well though.

The contractions are still consistently 6-7 minutes apart - lasting about 45 secs.

i've been walking all day! my sister walked me like a puppy today. Chat Icon

And then tonight we went up to St Charles to visit a friend's new (incredibly adorable) baby, so I'm just getting home now. 9lbs 11oz, 22 1/2 inches long! Good thing it was a scheduled C.

These contractions are definitely stronger than yesterday - some even stop me mid-sentence or mid-step.

There was a little more blood at last pee, too. (Spotting, really. )

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BABY, I'M BEGGING YOU - COME OUT TOMORROWWWWWWWW. I plan on walking for as long as I physically can. Hope it doesnt rain again.

I have an OB appt at 5pm tomorrow too, so we'll see if there's any progress.

Thanks for all the well wishes - keep 'em coming. Chat Icon

If you can't talk through the contractions easily - that's a good thing!!

i hope you're right!

How fantastic would it be if my water just breaks when i get up for one of my usual bathroom breaks tonight? Chat Icon Then I can stop all the questioning, throw my crap in the car and GO be a mommy!

Re: i seriously have the most stubborn unborn child... EVER!

I would call the OB if you are having contractions 6 mins apart and they stop you in your tracks. You are def. in labor! My water never broke and my contractions were 5/6 mins. apart and my DS was born a few hours later.

Best of luck to you!Chat Icon

Re: i seriously have the most stubborn unborn child... EVER!

Chat Icon Thank you

Don't smack me, but it just doesn't FEEL like labor! They're not all painful enough to stop me from talking, just some of them. Gut feeling on this one, i guess.

I also want to spend as much of my labor at home as possible... the less time i have to spend in that hospital, the happier i'll be!

I'm holding out for my OB appt tomorrow, unless of course, the contractions get worse or my water breaks.

Do not go by how strong the contractions are. Go by the timing of them. I know you want to labor at home - I completely agree it's a great idea but you can progress very quickly.

We left for the hospital when they were about 4 minutes apart. I showed up at the hospital when they were 2 minutes apart & contractions only started getting bad then...

Come on little man!

I swear by that yoga ball! When I was bouncing on it (while on FB) - I used it instead of the chair at my desk - my water broke and I started progressing. Get on one if you have it!!! Chat Icon

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon You're the first thing I thought of when I woke up this am!

Are they still 6-7 minutes apart? Has your doctor been following up with you? He/She is aware of where you are, right?

do you think he's holding out to be born on Christina's bday?

Still every 7 min. I'm currently walking perimeters. I hope nothing is wrong.

Maybe the dr will strip my membranes later. I hope. Chat Icon

I am so sorry you are going through this Nic, but it is better to be at home then in the hospital while you transition Chat Icon 7 minutes apart is a good thing, get yourself walking some more & hopefully you won't make it to your 5pm appt & if you do, at least you will know your direction!!!!!!

Re: i seriously have the most stubborn unborn child... EVER!

I've been like this for almost 2 days now!

The contractions are definitely strong enough that I don't feel safe driving, so I'm not at work. There's really no one that can drive me. But otherwise, I'm upset that I'm "wasting" days off for what appears to be nothingggg.

I was woken up several times through the night with contractions, but not every 7 minutes. DH said I must've been feeling them in my sleep because was making some odd noises Chat Icon.Once I was awake and started timing them again is when I realized they're still keeping the 6-7 minute pattern, lasting for 45secs, sometimes a minute. Some are stronger than others - some just feel like AF cramps. Some of them can't even be timed from the starting point, because all I feel is the peak.

I'll be really upset if i get to my Dr's appt later and there's no progress past the 2cm from 2 WEEKS AGO! Like I said, I'm not at work and if this isn't "REAL LABOR", I need to be there.

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I understand it's still early - i understand that things can go any way with a first baby - i understand that i have no control over when he's ready .... but I am having a hard time dealing with it. ENOUGH ALREADY. If he gets any lower, I feel like I won't even be ABLE to walk.

I don't want to go and try herbal labor induction methods just yet - I'll wait to see what the Dr says later after the exam. I have taken evening primrose oil (oral capsules) for cervix ripening for the past 2 weeks, but that's it.
