There are pics of my kids on MLSLI & I didn't put them there!!!
here's the listing

the house is a flip in my neighborhood, we have a community website for our beach club & the pic on the listing with the kids playing in the lake is my SD & her friends, I put the pic on OUR website & realtor obviously stole it
I don't really care, I hope it helps her sell the house most brokers don't even use the lake as a selling point.
But Goobster-this is WHY you HAVE to check MLSLI daily
It wasn't there yesterday!!!

are you going to say something? i know you don't care personally, but what if they do it to someone else who does? i think i would mention that it's not a good idea without permission--it's kind of scary!
on another note--i looked at the house photos. i thought granite squares were against code in NY? i know all those home makeover shows use them because they're so much cheaper than a slab, but i remember hearing once that we can't have them. any idea?

i don't know anything about that area but that seems like a ridiculously low price for a flip... is Longwood a bad SD? 
ETA: i can see why you don't mind her using the pic, you can't really see their faces

yeah you can't see their faces, so no problem there, but I would say something about it to the REA anyway. Not nice to not ask first.
And that is a great pics by the way Kelly! Looks like they were having fun.
Beautiful house too. The outside is very nice.

Ugh that's a big pet peeve of mine. I've found some of my photos in a lot of different places. I found one on a UK businesses website too - that one I did something about because they wanted me to give them a hi-res version so they could use it for advertising. But then didn't want to show me the money!! 
Anyway, the lake pictures are really nice!

i don't know, that's why i was asking! i remember on one of those shows the homeowners wanted it and the guy said you couldn't have it because it was NY i just remembered that but didn't know the reasoning. there could have been a whole other reason that the guy just didn't go into or got edited out.
i'm curious because i wouldn't mind having them myself!

I emailed the realtor just to say I saw the pics & I'm ok with it & good luck selling the house. I also nicely mentioned the typos in her description . She replied and said the homeowner gave them to her-so HE stole them off the website
As for the granite tiles, I cannot think of any reason they would against code. Most kitchen renovations don't even require a permit so I don't know who would be checking. I personally dont love any kind of tile on counters but thats just a personal preference.

Longwood is similar to Middle Country, Comsewogue and a few others. Ridge is very far east, too far for most NYC commuters and its very rural here. The house was some sort of distressed sale, the currant owner bought it REALLY cheap so that is why the price is so fair. I'm sure it will sell quickly because its about $30,000 under priced.

Just lack of knowledge of the area & what the civic association means to residents.
I was the chairperson of the "welcoming committee" for 3 years in our neighborhood. Me and another neighbor would go to new homeowners with a cake or plant and tell them about the civic association and some of the upcoming events. So we visit this couple that bought a home near the entrance of our neighborhood and we started to tell them about the lake and the wife said "what lake?"
my neighbor & I looked at eachother and almost died. This couple never even drove around the neighborhood, the lake is right in the middle, you can't miss it.
Its really strange, the original homeowners did such a good job keeping this place a "secret".

here is another house that needs some updating but its really close to the lake & me
And I think its a great price
