town of brookhaven
we are cleaning out the garage and have a lot of junk to throw out...sinks, toilets, siding, etc......are we allowed to bring them to the town "dump" or do we have to arrange for the town to pick them up

we were just looking at the schedule too--i think you can bring it to the dump yourself (check the hours on the brookhaven town site), or call and they will pick up some large objects. we called to have them pick up closet doors because the normal garbage wouldn't get them.

I agree with Beth - bigger things need to be called in and scheduled for pick up.

There is a book that they send out every year called "Throwing it out in Brookhaven", it has a detailed list of what you can throw out and when. It also tells you where to bring the things that you can not put at the curb.

Saturday mornings you can bring whatever you can get to the dumps.. and theres no charge.
Thats when we usually fill up a trailer or back of a pick up and head over.
