Re: Atkins

This is a great board for questions and info

Atkins

The best advice is to stick to whole foods...don't eat any of the bars and shakes, they will cause stalls and cravings.

Good luck!! Chat Icon

Re: Atkins

I have been on Atkins for the last three weeks and have already lost 11 pounds. The first few days are the hardest detoxing your body from sugar and you may get headaches like I did but stick with it. There are plenty of low carb treats that you can pick up at the supermarket, my favorite is the breyers carb control ice cream it is delicious. I also like to keep plenty of Atkins friendly snacks around like cheese, nuts, sugar free jello, and make sure to drink plenty of water. I pretty much have eggs, bacon and cheese every morning, meats and veggies for lunch, then a nice low carb dinner from LovingLife (my dear wife).
Dreamfields low carb pasta is awesome with any sauce. Good luck if you have any questions let me know.

Re: Atkins

I ate eggs, and little steaks for breakfast because some bacons are cured in sugar so i stay away from lunch meat , bacon ,sausage etc....lunch tuna with mayo (not salad dressing) because it contains sugars obviously not on bread. then dinner usually broiled chicken with 3 cups of salad ...for dressing oil and vinegar with spices added. for snacks cheese ...that is about it I did the 2 week induction phase pretty strict ..I lost 17 lbs in 2 weeks...defiantley getting started is the hardest but once you have a few days under your belt you will be fine good luck! http://www.atkins.com/articles/atkins-phases/phase-one/acceptable-foods/

i basically followed this to a t!
