Does anyone else have reallllyyyy bad heartburn?

I am 25 weeks--and I can't deal with this heartburn--its only really bad in the evening--it actually will walk me up in the middle of the night-I take TUMS--any other suggestions???

No i dont know what to do about the heartburn but i heard that its because the baby is going to have alot of Hair..

yup....

all i can do is stay away from things that are more likely to cause it..

spicy food, acidic(orange juice, tomato sauce, soda)

Honestly, you shouldn't have to suffer. My doc prescribed me a safe medication to take and although I still get heartburn occasionally, its more managable now.

I am going to the doc tomorrow-def going to mention it and see what she says!! It really doesnt matter what I eat-mostly everything bothers me :(

tums smoothies have done well for me...

call your doc - mine also approved Zantac...

I was allowed to take Zantac 75 twice per day. It helped tremendously.

i take zantac every night before i go to bed i take tums during the day but you could take zantac twice a day. My doc also said pepcid complete all those meds are ok he said if you take ten or more tums you need something else

I had it really bad and was put on pepcid...

It helps but I occasionally have to take a tums.

I also completely cut out tomato sauces, vinegar and anything carbonated because it aggrevated it more for me!

My last baby I had it so bad and it was all the time. I only took tums- but I will say he was practically bald! Gotta love those old wives tales.

my last pregnancy was a heartburn nightmare. i took zantac and it helped tremendously. i am SO dreading hearburn this time around...

I get heartburn all the time. It doesn't matter whether or not I ate. I always get it. It started in the beginning of my preg. and now at 35 weeks it is still really bad. My doctor recommened Zantac 150 and it does the trick. Thank god b/c I can't handle the burning. If the saying is true, then I am giving birth to 2 little chewbakas.

it's not bad, and it only comes and goes, but the weird thing is i've never, EVER had heartburn in my life, so this is a first for me. i think it's one of lovely things we can chalk up to pregnancy!!!

I have heartburn by I am only 6w 5d....so mine can not be from the hair theory, lol

When mine gets really bad I find Tums or a glass of milk helps.

i was reading that it is helpful to sleep with your head elevated- good luck
