any other plus size pregnant ladies?

I still have a "B" belly, and not a "D" belly

I wonder if I'll ever get that nice "D" belly that smaller girls get...

if not, is there a way to wear clothes that at least make it look like that, as opposed to now which just makes me look like I just got fatter Chat Icon

i'm here darlin....

not sure what ya mean by B or D belly...

A lovely lady on here told me once she calls it the 'double bubble' and that is what i have.

My 'lower' belly (my usual um...roll Chat Icon) is still there - but i now have a baby belly right below my boobages....that's ALL baby. It's not huge - but it is larger than my 'lower belly'.

I KNOW i won't ever take any cute belly pics - it's not in the cards for me...and i guess on some level it upsets me, but, in the end, we will have precious babies!!!!!!!!!

I know what you mean about the "B"... I am assuming I will have mine for awhile too. I would say probably around 15-17 weeks....you should be in the "D" zone... LOL

double bubble = B

one nice round belly = D

look at the shapes of the letters B and D in terms of bellies :)

I hope I can disguise a D belly if I don't get one w/maternity clothes :)

Re: any other plus size pregnant ladies?

I found that certain pants made the "b" belly for me. If I wore panel pants I would pull them up really far so there wasn't a second bump.

The secret belly fit pants were great in the 2nd tri, there was no line from elastic, but now in the third tri they just fall down unless I wear them with a bella band.

Go ahead and take pics of your belly! Who cares if you don't have the perfect PG belly, you have YOUR belly, for this pregnancy, it's the only time you will have this belly (who knows what kind of belly you'll have in other pregnancies!) I am very self-conscious about myself in pictures, but I think having a memory of this PG will be something that I enjoy later on ...if they end up depressing me, then I'll just toss 'em Chat Icon but I really don't think that'll happen. Not sure when you're due but as you get farther along, you will get the D belly. It will take longer than it does for the "skinny chicks" but it will happen. For me, with my first, I was very big and very round by the 6th month. As far as what you can do to make it look more like you're PG instead of just "bigger", I suggest def getting maternity shirts. Don't just buy bigger regular shirts. They will not fit right. They will be too big on top and through the shoulders and it will just look like a big burlap bag. The ones that really help show off the belly are the ones with the seam or the "band" under the breasts. They kind of pull the fabric in where it needs to be pulled in and shows off the "baby belly" and then they are usually flowy below that band so it helps to disguise the lower bubble of the B while you still have it.

HTH and enjoy every minute of your B or D baby belly!! Chat Icon

My belly rounded out nicely around five months, but before that found your usual empire waist maternity shirts disguised things nicely.Chat Icon
