need prayers
Well one of the reasons I haven't come out yet is because of my history of miscarriages. Had 2 before DS.
Went for my ob appt today. I went right away because they always start me on progesterone. They did a sono and they did not see a yolk sac. I would be 5 weeks by now. I am very scared and nervous. I have to repeat next week. Of course now I second guess myself and take another pregnancy test and its instantly positive. I go for bloodwork tomorrow. The doctor seems optimistic but because of my history optimism is not what I am feeling. I am praying to god that it is just too early to see anything and that I won't be going through this for the 3rd time. A week feels like a lifetime.

Please don't panic.................
This is the reason why a lot of OB's won't even do an ultrasound until you are 8 weeks!!!
Just because you didn't see tha tsac yet does not mean it isn't a viable pregnancy, they could check in 2 days and it could be there! Also, no one knows exactly when you implanted and so you may just be behind time wise.
If you aren't bleeding or cramping and otherwise feel fine then try and relax as much as you can! Focus on the outcome being good!!! I'm a FIRM believer in POSITIVE thinking!!!

I've been there and the worry stinks I am sure you are ok- its only 5 weeks so they wouldn't see anything.

At my 5 weeks sono this time around, my doc didn't see anything either. He even asked me why I thought I was pregnant. Um, the digital test said "pregnant"! Anyhow, I went the following week and saw the sac, and saw the heartbeat the following week.

I agree with the others.... try your best to not think about your prior experiences... I saw a sac, but only at 5 weeks and several days... we saw a heart beat a little after the 7 week time point. any time prior to 7-8 weeks is a bit unpredictable as far as ultrasounds are concerned...

I'm going through the exact same thing right now. I had an appt. on Monday, and I'm supposedly 6 weeks and they saw NOTHING. Then dhe doctor said I'm not as far along as I thought, and its too early to see anything. I'm also going back next week, and the wait is making me sick.
I think you're fine though.....5 weeks is too early for a yolk sac in most cases. I was hysterical myself so I can empathize, but I was reassured by 2 doctors and 3 nurses....it was TOO SOON.
The waiting is the hardest part.

My OB doesn't see us until we are at least 7 or 8 weeks pg.
It may still be too early.

DO not worry. My First appointment they saw NOTHING..Not even a SAC...and I was freaking out so badly . I went back one week later and there was a sac, a baby and a heartbeat!
So one week can make one heck of a difference!!!

Please try not to worry too much. My first sono at my RE's office was 5w2d and we only saw the sac but no yolk sac. 2 days later the yolk sac was there.

The same thing happened to my SIL, and she was really freaked because she knew to date when she got preggo- since she had fertility treatment...
Turned out the baby just implanted late, and so far so good...
Stay positive, everything will be ok!

When i went at 5 weeks, all they saw was an empty sac w no yolk sac or embryo. The doc was optimistic, but I was not. Luckily, the following week I went back, and there he or she was! The baby had implanted 5 days late, so I am still measuring 5 days behind. It is normal, and probably what happened to you. Try to be positive!
