Those of us who've had a stillbirth...
or really anyone who is interested, this is a very important matter.
I don't know about you, but I never got a birth certificate for my son who was born still. I got a death certificate, but a birth certificate, or even the choice to get one, would have been appreciated. Apparently a lot of women feel this way. They gotten a bill together and it was "killed" in legislation.
Please have a look here, and if you're interested please help. You can sign a petition.

I signed as well. I received a birth and death certificate for one of my twins. The other twin was stillborn and I was only able to get a death certificate. It feels horrible not having his birth acknowledged

Oh my goodness, I did not know you did not get a birth certificate.....I signed! I do think you should get one amd that EVERY childs brith should be acknowledged.

I had NO idea they did this to families of still born children - it's HORRIBLE. It seems completely ridiculous too...I mean, if they issue death certificates, it seems like a no-brainer that they would need a birth certificate as acknowledgement of the child's birth in the first place.
