MMR Vaccine Seperated? Where to find it?

Hi Everyone,
I am new to this site and live in Nassau County. I need some help finding a pharmacy on LI that will fill my sons prescription for the MMR shot separated.
After much research and debating my husband and I have decided to separate our sons 15 month MMR shot into three separate shots. The problem is that our doctors office does not offer this option and instead gave us a prescription for each shot which we need to have filled on our own and bring the shots to them to administer.
Did anyone else who decided to separate have to do this? If so, where did you find the shots?

i used to work in a pediatric office in Huntington that used to give them seperate if you wanted.. but still i know it was hard to come by.
now i dont even know if they still do it but you can always try.

A few years ago, our ped did the same thing - gave us a prescription for the separate mmr shots. but the problem is that the shots are sold bundled, in 10 packs I think, so you are unable to purchase a single dose. also, I believe they are subject to strict refrigeration requirements.

We were not able to fill the prescription and ultimately switched pediatricians for a variety of reasons.

Did your ped offer any other alternatives? Could he/she advise you of the pros and cons of delaying the mmr till your child's immune system is more developed - perhaps till 24 months?

Did your new doctor seperate the shots or did you decide to give them all at once? If so which doctor was it?
I did hear of the Huntington Group however they are a little far for me to make my sons primary doctor, but I may call and see if they will take him for the next few months until they admninster the shots.

Please check with Lakeville Pharmacy. They are on Hillside Avenue in New Hyde Park across from Amendola Fence. Their number is 354-3545. They have helped us with a number of things and they are a compounding pharmacy (meaning they mix compounds-apparently most don't) so they may be able to help you. GL!

Thank you so much for your help! Lakeville Pharmacy didn't have it however they did refer me to a pharmacy in Queens that did! So I will be able to pick up the shot and bring it directly to my doctors to administer.
