Allergies

Has anyone been told that any allergy med is safe when pregnant. I am dying over here. I am waiting for my doctors office to open but I figured I'd ask here to se if I shouldn't hget my hopes up for some relief.Chat Icon

ETA: Dr's office said Sudafed, Robitussin (DM), and Tylenol, and cough drops. They said no to claritin. That's it. Time to switch doctors. Chat Icon j/k

Re: Allergies

I feel your pain sister!! In my 33 years on this planet, I have never had allergies. Well, what do you know... now I do!! Chat Icon I must sneeze at least 100 times a day! And I don't know if it's the pregnancy or just me getting allergies! I haven't called the doctor though. I am trying my best to suck it up. Chat Icon

Hmph, my doctor's office said the same minus the sudafed. I take benedryl at night when they are really awful. If other doctors are saying it's ok, then I'm going with it.
Unless my doctor wants to come and sing me lullabyes every night to make sure I'm sleeping ok, then I'm doing what's right for me.

Re: Allergies

I was told Claratin was okay as long as it wasn't D. At the next doctors visit I asked for a prescription because I was miserable and mentioned I had taken Flonase before getting PG. She told me to continue taking it...

My doc said Zyrtec and Claritin were both fine - Just not the D versions. And Benadryl okay in moderation.
