Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

how do you feel?

HUNGRY 24/7. I have no morning sickness. I did have a migraine last week which was no fun. I am ALWAYS tired and I'm waking up at least once/twice a night to go to the bathroom. I have no energy to do anything after work. I'm hoping this all passes (I'm 9w2d)

do you notice a difference?

My stomach has gained 1-2 inches and the scale was gone up 2-3lbs. My stomach is VERY bloated and I'm hoping this subsides.

what are you eating?

Anything that is a carb makes me feel better. I've been eating alot of pasta lately and toast. Yogurt & orange juice has been my best friend. I've been watching what I eat but I could definitely make better choices.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

how do you feel?

On and off nasusea but not vomitting!!! constantly exhausted and moody....boobs still killing me, as I think they've already gone up a size, and I'm big to begin with
ETA:I wake up at LEAST twice during the night to go to the bathroom!!!! And, crazy indigestion after anything I eat....

do you notice a difference?

I fluctuate and am beyond bloated and things are def getting a little snugger in the midsection...I'm up between 2-4 pounds depending on what I eat

what are you eating?
Lots of bagels and plain carbs...I recently jumped on the fruit bandwagon since for some strange reason its not upsetting my stomach...my worst food aversion...Ice Cream, and I'm devastated by it!!!Chat Icon

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

How do you feel?

I'm still nauseous, but I haven't gotten sick since Monday. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon My boobs have been pretty sore. I don't sleep well. I have heartburn and reflux, especially at night. I also often have an upset stomach.

Do you notice a difference?

My stomach seems bigger and my pants are a little tighter. I think a lot of it is bloat though. My weight fluctuates a lot. Right now, I'm only up about 1 pound, but I've been up at least 4 pounds on other days. My boobs are bigger and my nipples are huge. Chat Icon

What are you eating?

Before getting pregnant, I ate chicken a lot. Last night was the first time I ate chicken in weeks. I eat a lot of carbs. I try to eat veggies with hummus as a snack. I also eat some cheese.

I have my days of feeling like eh, I was really bad last week. I'm hoping I feel better on a regular basis. Oh, I am always hungry, it's crazy!

do you notice a difference?

I feel a bit bigger, it may be bloat. I have not weighed myself...which i should. My boobs are a mess....they hurt on and off but my nipples are really dry....

what are you eating?

I'm trying to eat healthy....I eat much more fruit. I can't get enough of bagels for some reason.

Bump!

Here are some questions for everyone:

how do you feel?
do you notice a difference?
what are you eating?

Chat Icon

how do you feel?
I'm feeling pretty good, I have been having cramping and some light brown spotting (when I wipe) so that freaks me out, but I keep reminding myself that it is normal. I seem to be more queay in the morning and just constantly munch to keep my belly calm. I'm still sleepy, but not exhausted - although last night I sat down to watch some TV at about 7:45, I was asleep (sitting up!) by 8:15 and then woke up to the news at 10PM - whoops!

do you notice a difference?
My weight is in flux, but I seem to have gained about 2-3 lbs. Some clothes are a little tight, but it is probably water retention. My boobs are definately bigger and nips are sore - esp. at night.

what are you eating?
I usually eat very healthfully, but the past few days all I want is crap (chips, cookies Chat Icon ) I do make sure to get fruits, veggies and yogurt in everyday.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

How do you feel?
Sleepy most of the day! Just had lunch and am debating about crawling under my desk for a quick nap!

Like "shell", I also have a huge craving for a bagel in the mornings!

Do you notice a difference?
I've gained 5-6 lbs so far and am nearly 8 weeks. Doctor said not to be alarmed though since I started out at 96lbs so my body is just telling me to eat up!

what are you eating?
Sweet potato fries, Popeye chicken, snickers bars, bagel with extra butter, you name it, I'll eat it. j/k.

Unfortunately, I'm trying to eat healthy though occassionally will indulge in the above.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

How do you feel?

Nauseated. And more tired than I've been in my entire life. I said to DH, if I didn't know I was pregnant, I would SWEAR that I have mono. I'm getting 7 hours of sleep a night, and a 2-hour nap in the afternoon, and even that's not cutting it.

Do you notice a difference?

I'm big to begin with, but I've actually lost some weight. I have no appetite, so I'm doing very little "extra-curricular" eating. The only difference I can notice so far is that my lower tummy feels much "firmer" and rounder (I already have a stomach, so I'm guessing it'll be awhile before I REALLY see a difference).

what are you eating?

Whatever doesn't turn my stomach. I eat lots of little stuff throughout the day--granola bars, a banana, yogurt, string cheese. I have a bowl of cereal when I come home from work. I drink lots of milk. Dinner is always tricky, though.

I think it's been rough for me recently, because I'm a 5th grade teacher, and my kids are getting ready to take their equivalent of the Regents exam here in NC. They have to take FOUR of these standardized tests this year. I am SOOOOO done!!!!!

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

Hi! Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Kathleen and I'm due on 12.20 (my husband's bday).

We went through the IVF process for 8 months and after several failed attempts I finally got our postive.

I'm starting my 9th week this weekend. Today we saw the heartbeat and umbilical cord.

I've been extremely sick and found out that morning sickness does not just mean "morning" but all day. Not complaining, just happy to be pregnant. I find lemon italian ices help :)

Congrats to all :)

Do you notice a difference?

No weight gain yet as food seems to be my worst enemy lately.

What are you eating?

Almost everything grosses me out.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

How do you feel?
I feel pretty good actually. I get tired about mid-day and I do go to sleep around 9-9:30 because I am so tired, but otherwise, good.

Do you notice a difference?
Iv'e gained 3 pounds so far, but I feel very bloated. I do feel like some of my pants are getting a little snug and I probably wont fit in them in a couple weeks.

what are you eating?
A lot of fruit and veggies. FOr some reason thats what my body seems to want. For lunch I have been eating a salad, pizza, PB sandwich. I find that dinner is hard for me. I cant find anything I want to each. I have had Wendy's too many times though.

I've been buying the babydolls shirts and wearing the pants that still fit using the rubberband trick. :P

Time to start looking for maternity pants!

How do you feel?

Not so good.Chat Icon I am very nauseous and weak. So tired all of the time. I wake up at least 5 times a night to pee. My boobs are killing me (but they look GREAT!)

Do you notice a difference?
YES! My boobs are gigantic, my belly is rounding because of the constipation/bloat, I am soooooooooo freakin' tired. Not sure how much weight I have gained, but I don't think to much.

What are you eating?
I need to eat more veggies. I eat oatmeal for breakfast, yogurt and granola for a snack, PB&J on whole grain bread for lunch, strawberries or another fruit for snack and then dinner, which is usually meat, veggies and a carb. I drink lots of water and ginger ale.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

Hi ladies, I hope everyone is feeling well.

I had a little scare and am hoping everything is OK - Friday afternoon I had red spotting, I was pretty upset, but it was after hours and I didn't think I should go to the ER for one instance of spotting, so I decided to see how it goes. It happened again on Sunday. Neither time was enough to stain my underware, but still definately red and a fair amount on the TP.

So I called the Dr. today, I am going to go in today, Wed and Fri so they can check my levels and see if they are progressing the way they should

I tried to get them to move my appt up (it is next Tues) but they didn't have any openings when the ultrasound tech was would be there.

So I'm just Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon that everything is OK I guess the earliest I'll really know anything would be Monday? I don't know how long it will take them to process the blood test.

Good Luck ladies, I hope everyone is doing wellChat Icon

MrsNJL, mine is due on 12/20 too!

Has anyone not tell their family about the pregnancy yet? For those who revealed, what's their reaction?

I spilled the beans this weekend since it's easier doing so before I show. I know I'm rounding out alot and will probably blow up by 12 weeks when I next see the family!

Everyone in the family is pretty psyched by the news. They seem to think it's so cool that we're having a mixed baby. DH is English/Italian American and I'm Asian.

We haven't told MOST of our family yet - my mother knows, I couldn't not tell her. It was tough being with DHs family this weekend and not saying anything, I really wanted to spread the word, but we want to wait until after our Dr. appt to tell anyone else.

Re: Starting a December Mommy Thread!!!!

Nina, I hope everything is ok. Chat Icon

We told our parents a few weeks ago. This weekend, we told grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. I wasn't planning on telling as many people, but my aunt guessed and since she knew, I felt I had to tell other aunts and uncles. I'm not telling friends or work until after the first trimester is over.

I'm feeling better in the mornings. I still get a little nauseous, but it's definitely not as bad. I still have heartburn and reflux every day. I've been pretty tired the past few days too.

I got a yucky itchy rash on my cheek yesterday. Chat Icon I have no idea what it is, but I hope it goes away soon.

ETA: I went shopping with my mo this weekend and bought a bunch of pretty cheap loose tops, dresses and two pairs of pants that were 1 size up. I'm hoping to hide my bloat and stay in regular clothes for as long as I can.

We've only told our parents and my hubby will tell his bro soon (they are 16 weeks). We've had such a hard time getting pregnant that we don't want to jinx it!

I go for acupuncture, it seems to help with my nausea. This week I've been able to get down PB&J on whole wheat, for a while it was just crackers and pretzels!
