Do you have a hero?

I'd have to say my parents are my heroes.
I've just watched them do so much with their lives. They stand up for what they believe in, they both have fantastic careers that I've watched them build throughout my life, they live in a great house that they never dreamed was possible to live in, they treat their family and friends with amazing kindness and are overall just amazing people. They give so much of themselves to everyone, including each other, which is why they are still together after 40 years. If my life turns out even half as good as theirs, I'll be extremely happy

My grandfather.

When he was five, his mother died and his father chose which children he wanted to keep and sent the rest (my grandfather and his brothers) to an orphanage. Because of that, he created the bond that my family has today.

Rachel, you are going to make me cry, he passed away ten years ago next month and I've been thinking about him a lot lately and it felt really good to type that.
