Ebay Issue---Need Help!

Okay so a while ago I ordered a big black crinoline slip from ebay (for my halloween costume), it didn't arrive in time and I had told the seller when I absolutely needed it by. So when I contacted her to say it didn't arrive by the day I needed it, she said, "no problem, send it back." So I sent it back (I have shipping confirmation that she received it) and I still haven't received a paypal credit for it. I've e-mailed her and gotten no reply. So now I have no crinoline slip and no 40 bucks! What is my best course of action now?
Thanks.

Re: Ebay Issue---Need Help!

log in to paypal and there is a dispute section where you can file a dispute. This happened to me twice, and once paypal threatened to take action against the person, they refunded my money right away.

Re: Ebay Issue---Need Help!

Def go through paypal, this happened to me and the seller "no longer" became a user of ebay so only paypal could help me get my money back. I finally did, but I had to go through hell to get my 415 back of the 470 I paid!!!!!! but at least I got something! Good Luck!

Hey you,

Sean here.. Corrin told me about this post. She knows about all the troubles I've had with Paypal.

DO NOT contact Paypal and file a complaint! If the seller has proof that he/she mailed it to you, Paypal WILL NOT credit your account. Paypal doesn't care if it was a day or two late. They only care that you received the item within a reasonable time.

Trust me when I say Paypal is incredibly unsupportive of its users. Check out this site:
http://www.paypalsucks.com/

Try calling the seller back to see what's up... also, did you use your credit card with Paypal? If so, call your credit card company and file a chargeback.

Any questions, call me.

P.S. - I'm back at 1633 Broadway working at Sundance! My first day's lunch was at La Famiglia!

Re: Ebay Issue---Need Help!

I have to disagree with the previous post. When you file a complaint with PayPal, they withhold the payment to the seller, so the seller is either forced to give you the money back or get in a decent amount of trouble and possibly have the account revoked. In addition to complaining to PayPal, you need to address this with Ebay directly too.

This is incorrect and misleading.

When you file a complaint with Paypal, the seller has three options:

a) Show proof of delivery of item(s)
b) Show proof of other form of refund
c) Give refund

In most cases, the seller will submit proof of delivery (tracking number). Paypal account reps then check the tracking number with the delivery company. When the tracking number shows that the item(s) were delivered to the buyer within a reasonable timeframe, the case is usually settled in favor of the seller.

Trust the person who has over six years of experience with Paypal.

Re: Ebay Issue---Need Help!

You're right about the tracking number part, I didn't take that into consideration. I'm actually having an issue right now. I ordered my niece a Bratz comforter and it's been 10 shipping days and still no item. I contacted the seller for a tracking number and he said there wasn't one for that item, which in and of itself is unlikely. I have emailed him again twice, the first time to ask what date it was shipped and then again to give him and last chance to reply with either a tracking number of a shipping reviept- one of those two things must exist. The seller didn't reply to either email and I've filed a complaint with PayPal.
