Why don't you try reading everything again!...I clearly stated I have now been educated about puppy mills, I do not have blinders on! Maybe this puppy came from a puppy mill, maybe not. I have actually done some research outside of the internet, anyone else?! You just believe everything you read and see?! I also said, If I end up not getting this particular puppy that I LOVE (does anyone get that?!) I would go elsewhere next time not a puppy store!

I try to help other posters with questions they have about their pets, when I can. I try not to lecture, berate or insult.

Maybe if I put a different spin on it?
If you truly, truly loved your dog so much that you wanted to further the breed how would you do it?
Would you keep your dog outside in a small cage and let her have litter after litter after litter? And then since they were making you money buy more and pack them in some more cages? Would you take the puppies of your beloved pet and ship them across the country to be sold in a pet store? A pet store that might not treat their puppies right? And where it might eventually be sold to someone who won't properly care for the dog? Or not love the dog as you love it?
OR would you let your beloved dog live inside your home and treat her like royalty? Let her have one, maybe two litters a year? And wouldn't you want to know each and every family that comes to take her babies? Make sure they are going into loving, safe homes?

maybe they don't truely truely love all the dogs. Maybe its just the way they make money, but maybe they don't treat the dogs like crap! Maybe I just have an open mind, but what I do know, is there is no way we are ever going to agree on this!

Not buying a puppy by one person does affect the demand thus affecting the supply. Each puppy bought means 6 more will have to be born to replace that "inventory". So one person choosing not to buy one puppy means 6 puppies (a litter usually) will not be born.
Keep in mind that Ted Bundy was a nice looking man, who held a job and seemed to be an upstanding member of the community yet he was a sociopath. Pictures on the internet and what a pet store owner might say don't prove the puppy isn't from a puppymill or backyard breeder. A way to check, factually, is to request the papers for the the parents. The AKC keeps excellent records on linage of all registered dogs. Other organizations that produce papers are usually created by the puppymill owners themselves so that they don't have to prove linage or make sure that 1st and 2nd generation dogs are breeding with their siblings.

whats so true how am i hiding...truth is that is my real screen name in every thing i do on the internet and i just posted on here for the first time yesterday...after reading all the posts back and forth...thought if i said what i said about a different screen name it would..i dont know what i who cares i am me...i just heaRD of a puppy mill yesterday...i got my dog from a breeder this time of year a year ago...it had giardia...i just wanted to support moms 3 because you people are a bunch of i think i know everything people...lets have lunch...how bout applebees in bellmore?

Yes, they should be able to tell you where the parents are registered as well as their names and history. With that information, you will be able to research a bit better where this puppy is coming from. It should also help you to find out if there may be any genetic tendencies towards problems like aggression, latent medical problems that don't pop up until years later.

You have previously claimed to be a regular poster earlier in the thread which leads me to believe that yesterday was not your first time here.

I think it's great that people have differing opinions and will stand up for them. You should stand up for what you believe in and not hide behind "fake" names and inconsistencies. Your taking away from what moms came here to learn.
