what to wear to husband's office Xmas party
A partner at DH's company invited us to his Christmas party. I'm not sure what to wear. It starts at 4pm, and children are invited. Any ideas? Not sure cocktail dress would work because the party starts so early.

I wore a black sweater dress with belt to my DH's work party. It was on a Sunday evening. A dinner and cocktails thing...no music and no kids, but it was at a family oriented place.

That sounds like a perfect holiday party outfit. Or just a skirt (or dress pants) and cardigan set.

I think a cocktail dress is over-doing it since there will be kids there... so it sounds like a casual atmosphere. I agree with a sweater dress, a wrap dress or a skirt w/a cute top.
