are we supposed to sterilize bottles after every use?
or can we sterilize every so often 2x per week and wash thoroughly??? thank you

I only sterilize when they or new or when he is sick. Otherwise it is hand wash or dishwasher.

I only sterilized the bottles when they were new, DS was sick, or just plain old needed it since we don't have a dishwasher!
Now that he is older we rarley sterilize them. Actually I can't remember when the last time I did! 
Definitely do what you feel comfortable doing. After DS was three months old. I "backed off" of all the do this do that or else stuff!

i sterilized the first time i used everything (since it was at some factory)but now i just wash with hot soapy water.
to be honest, i don't really understand the concept of sterilizing the bottles. once you take them out of the boiling water the stuff is sterile for like, 10 seconds, before you put it down on a surface which is not sterile and contaminate it.
plus, i put my nipple - unsterilized  - in my baby's mouth every 2-3 hours! there are few things germier than human skin, so i don't see the point of sterilizing the plastic stuff...

I sterilize evertime too. It has just become routine. I wash them and then put them in the microwave. It only takes 4 minutes so it is not a big deal.

I always washed and boiled my bottles daily. I didn't want any germs creeping into the bottles.

I never did. I read somewhere that the heated dry on the dishwasher was sterilization enough. I run them through that every now and again.
