Mostly the library - but if it's a book club book and I can't find it, I'll buy it.
I also get some from paperbackswap.com.
And I've gotten a couple of loaners off this board and then passed them on.

I do booksfree.com Cheaper than buying, but with the kids napping schedules (one's usually sleeping while the other is awake) and DH's work schedule, it's tough for me to get to the library when they are open.

I can't stand my town's library... they have practically NOTHING and their borrowing system SUUCKS! I'll order on Amazon if it's a buck or less... or I'll ask my mom to get from her libary which is freakin' awesome!

I always used to buy them off of Amazon or get them at BJ's but since I only read them once, I now go to the library and get them.

I'm a librariian so I mainly just get them from the library but I do buy particular ones. I have a pretty big library at home. I also get galleys from conferences that I attend.

I rarely buy books since I work in a library and just reserve what I want. If it's for a book club selection and I can't get it in time, then I'll buy it and bring it to work to add to the collection.

The library. MIL works there so I request books online and when it's my turn for them, she picks them up and gives them to me. It's a great system, I just need to go there when it's time to return the books.
I do have to go in tonight and browse though, I'm at a loss for new reading selections.

A lot of my books come from recommendations from friends and then I'll pass them on as well.
Or if I have to I'll buy from half.com.
